I'm African American and never expected this to work mostly because sometimes my skin reacts differently to the popular/common remedies that may work for my fairer sisters =), but I gave it a try after reading a review. I've suffered Acne since I was a teenager now I'm 28 and still fighting it. This stuff is good if you have combination to dry skin. It really exfoliates the skin while it treats the pimples. Give it a try....you've got nothing to lose unless of course if you're allergic to Salicylic acid. USE SUNSCREEN.

Great for Cracked Heels

Not only is this good for breakouts, this is good for putting this on cracked heels and extremely dry elbows. It has that Salicylic Acid which is what you are looking for. Then after putting this on your feet and elbows, cover with Vaseline Jelly. I found Bag Balm works better. Put socks on your feet. Do this routine before bed and use fresh socks every treatment. It does not even take a week before you have brand new feet. Return to treatment as needed. I learned about this treatment through Oprah.

Use it once in the middle of the day to get all that excess oil and dirt off of my skin. Dries my skin, but doesn't leave it flaky afterwards.

Every other salicylic acid toner on the market has alcohol....this one doesn't. It's so convenient and the textured pad is big enough to wipe your entire face. I use it on my face all over. I also use it to swipe right inside my pre-teen son's ears which have been covered in black heads since he was ten...I can't put a wash, mask or soap on the inside of his ears, but I can swipe one of these textured pads in the area and it dries quickly. It's a perfect solution to my previous method which was taking a small toothbrush and lathering a little acne wash in his ear then trying to rinse it off without getting water in his ear. As you can imagine, he hated that method so he and I love this product! It's gentle and it's a god send because I didn't want to use a product containing alcohol on my son.

I normally use traditional 2% salicylic acid astringent in a bottle with a cotton ball, but I have never been able to find one without alcohol. Hat's off to Stridex for making one with no alcohol. I need the salicylic acid to control acne, but like most people with acne we don't need the drying effects of alcohol. I was really pleased with this purchase and it's very convenient to carry around. A face tends to get very dirty and grimy in New York City after an hour commute on the subway!

I LOVE these things. I use one every day or so when my skin is misbehaving, and they give all the anti-inflammation and acne-fighting benefits of the salicylic acid, without the terrible drying and irritating effects of products that contain alcohol. They also don't have a strong or offensive scent. Love them!

I hardly ever get acne, but when I do I apply one of the wipes. They seem to work over time, but they will dry my skin out if I use them for the recommended number of daily applications. I try to only use them once or twice a day, but they just dry my skin out so fast and then I have to wait for my dry cracked skin to heal in order to see if it worked.

Be careful, this product smells like cough syrup. The smell can get a little annoying and it doesn't really help much, or at all. Personally I found it useless and I am now searching for a new product.

Good product!!! I was getting ready for an "ouch" before putting this on because I thought it was going to hurt my skin real bad, burning like other acne medications do, but SURPRISINGLY!! None! It doesnt contain alcohol that could burn my skin, so I love how gentle it is! Also I love how it smells too, it smells so fresh! I also love the cooling effect of it; my face feels clean and fresh after using it though a little bit dry, but its better that way than being oily.

Love, love, love this stuff. On average, I got like 5 pimples a month. Not much for a 15 year old, but still. I started using it about 2 months ago. For the first couple days, it dried my nose out a little. But a dab of oil free moisturizer took care of that. But then after I used it for 2 weeks, I haven't gotten pimples since. Not even around that time of the month! Amazing! It seems that it either works for people or it doesn't. But it works great for me. Just give your skin a little time to adjust.
