Winter in the inland Pacific Northwest can be very brutal for your skin. Accompanied by the hard water containing high iron even through water softener is the worst thing that your skin has to put up with. My wife and I have tried all kinds of the so-called gentle to natural, home made soaps available. But none comes close to this Basis Vitamin Bar soap, which is hard to find in many retail drug stores. We used to have to go through 7-8 different drug stores to find a few. Now we can buy 20-30 from Drugstore.com and their price is lower than anybody's. Unlike regular Basis soap which has no smell, Vitamin Bar soap has very pleasant scent which seems to please everyone in the family. I highly recommend that you try this if you suffer from the dry skin in winter time. Can't live without it now!

No harmful of irratating chemicals in this soap.

....and it will last a lot longer.( i got tired of finding mushy bars of soap along the rim of the tub and/or stuck to the tub floor. with six teens and 4 bathrooms/tubs...that made for a lot of soap slime to clean...and a lot of soap to buy.) i've used Basic Vitamin Bar Soap for years. i love it. it's very soothing and rinses off easy. it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. the girls love this soap after a long day at the beach.

Switched to this after using Basis All Clear bar for my acne, which did a great job, but i wanted to try the "multi vitamin" properties of this bar as it has all the essential skin vitamins. I assumed that Vit C and E would heal and soothe my skin, and Vit B would prevent acne. However, my skin feels more rough and looks a tad worse than normally after using this bar (though no significant breakouts). I dont think it has anti bacterial properties either, like the All Clear bar, which would be much better for acne skin. This probably would suit normal/combination skin better or as a body soap. I had my hopes up ): Love the smell though!

My doctor recommended Basis Vitamin Bar more than 15 years ago to help fight combination skin, a skin allergy caused by everyday soaps, and eczema, and have used ever since. While on a trip I discovered I'd left my shampoo home so used what was available: Basis Vitamin Bar and it worked great! Because it is so natural, it dissolves quickly when wet. While the moisture bar and the acne-fighting bar are readily available in most drug stores, the Vitamin Bar is next to impossible to find anywhere other than Drugstore.com, which has the best price I've ever found. I have readily recommended the entire Basis product line to family and friends and will continue to do so.

I have been using this soap to wash my face with for many years.II is gentle and cleans nicely. Hope it stays on the market.
