Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively
Cons: Expensive
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer

Bottom Line: recommended
This really works. I have hormone induced cystic / inflammatory acne and this works great! After one or two treatments, it's gone...and it would normally take two weeks or longer.
Zeno Acne Clearing Device rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 50 customer reviews.nice for teens and adults

Pros: Works Effectively

Best Uses: Adult Acne, Teen Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
My teenage son uses zeno on a regular basis for what he calls his "zit attacks". Not all over his face, but more centralized to a specific location such as his chin or cheek. I have tried it too for my hormonal adult acne and have also been happy with the same next day, quick results. The main benefit is that it does not make my son's entire face dry or flaky like several of the more popular skin line systems he has tried, not to mention they usually eventually stop working altogether after a couple months. He just does not need an all over system for a couple centralized outbreaks. This product is nice because it treats just the specific problem area.

I bought this for my adult acne problem. It only lasted a few weeks. I'm not going to buy any more refills. Totally not worth it. Didn't even get rid of any acne that I could feel coming. Save your money, or buy Acne Free. That works awesomely.
Zeno Acne Clearing Device rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 50 customer reviews. It works, but only on certain breakouts
by Matt[Verified Buyer] in Middlebury, VT on 6/20/09
Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively
Cons: Expensive

Best Uses: Inflammatory Acne, Teen Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
Works! I find this product works best when applied to each new/imminent breakout once after dinner and once before bed. Only works on red/inflamed breakouts and on the lumps under the skin (ie, you can feel it coming on your face and feel it with your finger) where a breakout is imminent. Doesn't seem to work on the eyebrow ridge unless you pinch/hold the skin off the bone lest the bone conduct the heat treatment away from the breakout.

I was a little put off by the price not just of the base unit, but the idea of having to pay [$] for the replacement heads. However, in desperation I bought the Zeno. This really works for me. I never had skin problems until my late thrities. Now, I seem to get one or two large, painful, under the skin pimples each month (hormones!). These would take so long to disappear that by the time one was gone, new ones were appearing the following month. I tried many topical creams, but have sensitive skin and they all dried out my skin so much that it just drew more attention to the volcano-like pimples I was trying desperately to cover. As an adult who had never dealt with this before, I was kind of at a loss as to how treat them and how to cover them. But now, as soon as I feel that sore spot starting, I use the Zeno. It minimizes the pain right away and after a treatment or two, it prevents any pimple from forming. A replacement tip has 60 treatments (but I've gotten 65 out of them). As long as I use it right away and don't let the pimple develop, it only takes a few treatments per month to keep everything under control, so the price is worth it for me. I recommended this to my sister, and she has had good results, too.

Best Uses: Adult Acne, Cystic Acne, Inflammatory Acne, Moderate Acne

If you can't follow directions, don't bother. That's really what it comes down to. Zeno lives up to all its claims, provided the user uses it as recommended. Charge it for at least 6 hours (better 12-24 in my opinion) before using, keep it charged, look in the mirror to place the tip in the correct location (since it's hard to aim it by touch), don't press down when you're doing the treatment, clean the tip with alcohol every time or at least if you're using it on pus-filled zits (duh), and watch what happens. The tip does get quite warm, but I would compare the heat level to the highest setting on a heating pad for sore muscles. I actually find it soothing because I know the heat's killing the bacteria under my skin. If you're also plagued by monthly cystic acne like I am, give it a try. Zeno doesn't make claims for it, but they can't because the clinical trial was focused on mild to moderate acne. I and other reviewers have had tremendous luck with cystic acne; in fact, I zapped a 4 week-old nodule and two treatments reduced the size by 75%. My tip would be to place the tip and then sit down and read or watch t.v. Standing in front of the mirror for 2 1/2 minutes is interminable. 2 1/2 minutes when you're otherwise entertained is quick. Oh, and by the way, the unit itself is super cute.
Zeno Acne Clearing Device rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 50 customer reviews.Super zit zapper

I own this zeno and the battery operated one too, which I bought for travel. Both have saved me so many times! I'm so thankful to have found a product that finally works! It zaps the zits away pretty fast, like about a day. The rechargeable one needs to be charged on a regular basis. The battery operated one just needs fresh batteries, that you store outside the unit when not in use. LIke I said, super zit zapperS!

WONDERFUL Product! I am so happy I finally broke down and bought one. It works every bit as good as it claims. In fact, my problem monthly spots are now reoccurring LESS than before, and some particular areas have not come back at all! I have had no problems using it on my sensitive skin either. AMAZING!!! Keep it charged regularly and you will reap the rewards!

Pros: Nothing Positive
Cons: Ineffective

I am extremely disappointed with the ZENO. I have wanted one for years and finally purchased one. I made the mistake of trusting that the ZENO would work and disposed of the packaging. The battery does not hold a charge and has done nothing for relieving the occasional pimple. If you decide to purchase this product keep all the packaging.
Zeno Acne Clearing Device rates 3 out of 5 stars, from 50 customer reviews. Not good for sensitive skin
by Dana the Runner[Verified Buyer] in Seattle on 2/4/09
Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively
Cons: Irritates Skin
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Best Uses: Adult Acne

I read all the great reviews and was so excited about this product. It worked well on a couple of pimples I had on my cheek......clearly reduced in size after just one treatment. However, I have heat sensitive skin and flare ups of perioral dermatitis (a form of rosacea) and it made my face worse around my mouth. A lot worse....more red bumps and redness in general. I think it's a great product, just not for sensitive skin types like me. The information included DOES indicate it is not for skin sensitive to heat. I was just hoping I might be an exception. I've sent it back and will hopefully get a refund.
