I am 28 years old with moderate acne and oily skin. I use 3 prescription topical creams to treat my acne, and they leave my skin very sensitive and dehydrated.

Things I love about this product... It is very rich and creamy. I like that it doesn't lather. It leaves my skin feeling very soft. It is non-drying. It DOES remove my makeup (although I don't use it around my eyes and here's why...)

I took off one star because this contains MENTHOL! Menthol is a skin irritant, and I absolutely despise the cool, stinging feeling of menthol on my skin especially on my face. I also took off a second star because this contains fragrance, which I try to avoid in skincare.

Overall, I can say I do see results from the salicylic acid, and I will most likely repurchase because of that. However, this product would be perfect if it didn't contain menthol and fragrance.

This is my go-to cleanser for winter time. It's creamy and is the only acne wash I've ever used that doesn't make my face angry and red for the rest of the night. My skin is always really dry in the winter, but this doesn't seem to make it worse. It doesn't remove my makeup very well, though, so I usually have to use with a makeup wipe or olive oil to get the makeup off.

I have acne prone, oily skin, and was very happy with this cleanser :)
My thoughts about this are that you really don't need a lot to really clean your face, a dime sized amount spreads evenly all over your face and does the job. Using a dime sized amount and using it every night, lasted me about 4 months!

When you wash it it stays like a cream cleanser and after putting it on your face if you wet your hands and then keep on cleansing it turns into a still creamy but kind of milky cleanser. After washing my face with it my face does not feel dried out and it feels clean, refreshed, and supple.

I really liked this cleanser however don't expect it to get extreme results with your acne, After about washing for a week with it my acne got smaller and some pimples got more dried out so they would go away, but nothing too extreme. This is a gentle cleanser that helped prevent some breakouts for me but it didn't really get rid of pimples or make them stop completely. This did control my skin being less oily though!

Overall, This cleanser helps a little bit with my acne, but mostly made my skin feel good. Less oily and refreshed and clean and the feel and texture of my skin felt better :)

I would buy this again and recomend this for people who have oily and combination skin who want something gentle but a good cleanser :)

I was happy to see they had brought back this favorite skin cleanser unfortunately they have made some changes to it. The first thing is it smells different it has more of a perfumey scent to it and then it made my skin kind of red and seemed to do nothing to clear my occasional pimples. There used to be a old formula that worked really good the pimples would clear really fast this sadly does nothing.

I bought this product about 2 months ago i wanted to use it for at least that long before i gave my review..this product is super gentle most products for acne that i had used in the past dried out and pretty much tortured my skin...i use this product twice a day with absolutely no drying what so ever and i don't have oily skin to begin with..so this product is extremely gentle and will not dry out skin..as far as it stopping break outs it seems to do a pretty good job i guess...if you do get a zit it probably wont be as bad or last as long..but to say that it totally stops all acne is far fetched..over all its a good product to use just because its so gentle and it pretty much does what it says it will...I wouldn't recommend it to someone with severe acne cos i don't think it would cut it.

I've used Neutrogena Oil-Free Cream Cleanser for years and it worked great for my oily skin. This purchase came in an identical container, but it smells different & the texture is much smoother. Neither are bad, but it is now annoyingly more difficult to remove even with extra water splashing. Also, this item has been in very short supply [+ rumors being discontinued]. Drugstore.com is the only place I could find it, and regrettably purchased a lot thinking it would be the same. Importantly, so far it does seem to work the same [a huge plus!] but shouldn't be such a pain to remove.

This is a great product. I believe it is much more gentle/less drying than the traditional Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash, making it more suitable for everyday use.

I have tried alot of acne products, and this is the only one that has kept my skin oil free all day. I love it.
