While this did nothing for my acne, I liked that it didn't leave my skin tight or make the acne worse.

When I first purchased this product, I was actually happy with the end results. But for some strange reason, over time, this product began to irritate the hell out of my cheeks. Then I began to suffer from some weird itch. So I threw the remaining product away and moved on to the next. This product will never see my medicine cabinet again.

If you have sensitive skin, it will good when you first open it. Use it for the first week, but if you use any longer, your skin will start to break out and you will have a few red spots for 1 or 2 days. As it gets smaller, it becomes really harsh on skin.

When my friend recently complimented my clear skin, she was surprised to find out that I actually have very bad, acne-prone skin. I told her my secret: Neutrogena's Acne-Prone Skin Formula Soap twice a day and benzoyl peroxide cream at night. The bar dissolves whiteheads, blackheads, and oil while the benzoyl peroxide keeps pimples from coming back. I noticed a difference within a week, and after a few months of using it, my skin was completely clear. I recommend this bar to all of my acne-prone friends because of my experience.

I couldn't say how my acne responds to it; I use other treatments, too. I can say that it cleans well and doesn't seem to aggravate the problem, and the bar is inexpensive, which is nice. Just be careful not to leave it in a place where it'll get wet and dissolve away.

Different people respond to skin care regimens, which I realized a long time ago. However Neutrogena was the very first product I have ever used and throughout I've used a numerous amount of different products that failed. This bar is nice because it can also be used to have a facial peel device. Usually I leave it on for a long time and put another layer of suds and then some castor oil. For a few days, the skin will look weird because it's peeling, but the after effects are wonderful, it's like you have brand new skin. That's probably my only purpose for using it! Other than that I use the Murad Kit (skin and life changing).

This product is good for oily skin. But, it didn't really clear up my acne. I still broke out after I used it. And, I found out later that some of the ingredients are carcinogenic. So, I stopped using it. It didn't do much for me anyway. I'm going back to using Kiss My face Soap; that is a soap that reduces skin oils and it's made from organic ingredients. I've been using this product since I was fifteen. No other facial bar I've tried is as good at keeping my skin clear. It smells good, rinses off easily, and cuts the grease! I'd recommend for normal to oily/combination skin--it may be too much for dry skin.

I think this product is very good. I have dry skin and find that this product does not further dry it out. After I wash with it, my skin feels very smooth and soothing.

When I had long hair I'd have problems with breakouts across my shoulders, back and chest, so I grabbed a bar of this stuff and used it all over in the shower. It worked great! After a week or two I saw results and the soap was kind to my skin too - no over drying.
