The first thing is to read all the information that they give you. The next thing is to sign up on-line so that you get their great e-mail tips and can log in your progress once a week. This also requires some accountability, which I feel you need in order to suceed. There's also some great tips. For example, I never knew that changing from hard tacos to soft tacos at Taco Bell made such a calorie difference. Once on this, I had only 1 day of really orange bowel movements and so much oil that I had to wear a menstrual pad for protection. I did not eat unwisely IMHO. But, it does say to be careful the first 10 days. Perhaps this flushes out the oils already in your lower intestines? Having said that....it does work. But, it works SLOWLY so that what you do lose, you keep it off. I've had 44 lbs. of weight gain in the past 6 years due to medications that the doctor keeps putting me on (which unfortunately I'll be on for the rest of my life). It's like with every new pill, another 10 lbs. got added. Grrrr!!!! Side effect weight gain is so frustrating! I just couldn't seem to lose it. That is, until Alli. Perhaps it takes a pill to fight a pill? :) :) :) Because I'm losing for the first time in several years! It's now been my first month and I've lost 7 pounds (without daily exercise even) and feel better where I can actually suck in my stomach a bit. The waistline on my pants are a tad loser. My goal weight will mean it will take me 6 months or so. But, my attitude is....isn't it better to go down a 1lb or two every week than go up a 1lb if all it takes is eating a liittle blue pill with every meal? How much simpler can it be? And, for me.... Down is down, no matter how long it takes.

Product is good. Take capsule before each meal. Go online and register so that you know your limitations of calories and fat grams. If you do go over in fat grams, you have treatment effects. If you do what the program suggests, you won't have the bad effects and the product will work.

I'ts really great and the side effects are not so bad. I will reccomend it.

It does what it is supposed to do. What do you think happens when your body doesn't digest fats and oils. They come out.......

All the info said this was for overweight adults. I am overweight by 10 stubborn pounds. After opening the package it tells you it is for really overweight adults. But since the package was opened it could not be returned. I am using it anyway and it is working. The best thing about it is after you go over your fat grams for one meal and suffer the results, you won't go over it again. It is like a safety net in place. It does not make me feel shaky or anything like normal diet pills. I think it has been helpful but since my goal is getting closer, I don't think I would buy it again unless I put the weight back on.

I had tried alli previously right after I had my twins without reading all of the 'instructions' and information that came with it and had terrible side effects---yes running to the bathroom and not making there---terrible oily discharge etc. But this time I decided I am not going to try for a 'quick fix' because if it s too good to be true it probably is. I took the alli as directed and watched what I ate--you shouldnt have more then a certain amount of fat when taking alli. I cut out all friend and creamy foods as well as fattening desserts. The one thing I will say is I DO allow myself 'cheat days' I don't take an alli if i know I am going out to dinner that night-as long as you dont take it 2 hours before or 2 hours after a fattening meal you will be fine. I have lost 10 pounds in about 45 days and the slow and steady weight loss is just as it should be! If you are looking for a quick fix, this is NOT for you---you must wtch what you eat or you WILL, I repeat WILL, have side effects. And the best part of this is that it is FDA approved! I would recommend this if you are serious and ready to lose weight.

I have been using this product for about a year. Although I have lost 45 pounds while using, I have also been working out a minimum of 4-5 days per week along with a healthy diet; so it would be irresponsible to give all of the credit to this product. My belief is that it has been useful in helping me maintain along with the healthy diet and CONSISTENT exercise.

I am trying to lower my cholesteral as well as type 2 diabetes. Ali helps me do this. I love it.
