Years ago a dermatologist recommended this product for my flaking skin. I was amazed that a product I picked up at the drug store could make such a difference. After a year or so of daily use, I realized my crows feet had diminished considerably. Well I quit seeing Alpha Hydrox products in the store and called the company. I ordered from them via the phone for about a year and then started seeing the products on line. Thank Goodness!Usually the product tingles when you apply it and I've noticed this bottle from Drugstore.com doesn't. I hope that is not a sign that it doesn't contain the % of acids necessary for effectiveness.

I bought this after much research trying to find something to help with melasma/hyper-pigmentation. I kept running across this brand as the brand of choice for AHA's. I was not disappointed. I have been using for about a month now (only at night) and my skin is visably brighter, the dark spots are fading and my skin tone is more even. I dont even have to wear foundation anymore..just a little powder and I'm good to go. You must wear sunscreen when using this product though oherwise you undo all the progress if you have any dark spotting. Many reviewers I have come across says there is a period of purging but I haven't had that issue. Also they said it stings when you first put it on. I did run across that slighly after about a week of use, but it was not an issue. It stung no more than when your face is cold, and it goes away after about 3 mins. I havent noticed any reduction of actual wrinkles yet, but just having my skin be more even and radiant has knock a few years off....there are no cures for wrinkles, but there is for melasma and this helps ALOT!

I use this product at night and on top of it I put on my regular moisturizer. Although I have oily skin, I didn't want to peel. Did get a little redness, but no sting or burn. Like it.

I had combination skin with oily and dry flaky patches and now they're gone! My skin looks gorgeous, smooth, and flawless. What's great is that it's non-greasy and very light. Even though it's not touted as a moisturizer per se, this product moisturizes enough to where I don't need one in addition.

I use it on my legs, arms and hands. i have trouble with patchy dryness and this lotion helps

I use this lotion on my body and it makes my skin very soft. I don't have to use the body scrub that often anymore.

I REALLY broke out with this product like crazy painful zits. My sis in law loves this product, and I wanted to love it too. Just didn't work out for me

I am using this product to help with acne and uneven skin tone. I have only been using the product once a day for a few weeks, but so far my skin seems to be responding well. I have noticed my oily skin is a bit drier, but that is actually a plus for me. If you have normal to dry skin you would probably want to use a moisturizer with this or maybe use it every other day. It does sting a little bit when I use it, but the sting goes away fairly quickly. It has a smell, but it isn't unpleasant. I am pleased with this product so far.

This product really works. I must have tough skin because I use the stronger one, and my husband uses the milder one. But, I really do notice a difference, softer, younger-looking skin. I have had many comments/compliments on my young-looking skin. Most people are schocked when they find out we just celebrated our 25th anniversary; they think I'm only in my thirties!
