Wow, this is the one! I am a 40yr old woman who has always had fairly nice skin with the occasional breakouts & clogged pores. All of a sudden I was feeling like a teen with breakouts, blackheads, etc. and was desperately trying different products to find "the one". Next stop was the dermatologist if this didn't work. Well this worked almost instantly to clear up my skin and completely unplug those stubborn pores. It was literally just a couple of days of noticeable improvement with absolutely no irritation, redness or dryness that I was expecting as my skin "adjusted" to new product. I also purchased the one with SPF to use in sunny months. Needless to say, THE SEARCH IS OVER for me. The price is well worth it based on the results, as I have splurged on far more expensive products without results! The only downside to this product is the packaging, as it comes out rather quickly so be careful not to waste.

I use this product under my moisturizer and foundation. It really tightens my skin and makes it smoother and younger looking. It does a good job of eliminating sagging and diminishes wrinkles. I appreciate that it comes in an oil-free formula as many products are too oily for my skin. I will definitely buy more Alpha Hydrox in the future.

I have been using this product for over a month at night and it works great for controlling acne and helps fade hyperpigmentation (brown/red discoloration marks) from acne. This was my 1st time using AHA and the 10% formula didn't irritate my skin ( if you have sensitive skin try the 8% first then work your way up). It dried out my skin the first week but after a while it wasn't so bad. The first few weeks I used this it did make me break out but I figured it was deep cleaning and exfoliating the skin. After the initial break outs I hadn't had one of my usual big deep red painful pimples (crossing my fingers! so far no deep painful pimples). Also this really helps fade my brown spots (from acne) so its easier to cover with concealer and makeup. I would definitely buy this product again. Too bad I didn't know about this product in my teens, but better late than never! I'm in my mid twenties and will be using this product for as long as they make it! I actually look forward to using this every night because it really works (you just need to give it time)!

I've only been using this product for a couple of weeks now, and I've held off writing a review until I gave my skin some time with this product. I start off my "regimen" by using the foaming face wash (which I highly recommend). It removes any trace of makeup and it very gentle and doesn't cause breakouts. I follow with a natural toner of witch hazel, then this product and an oil free moisturizer. At night I add one drop of jojoba oil to my moisturizer just to add a little more moisture. I have sensitive, acne prone, oily skin. I'm 27 and have suffered from breakouts for over 10 years. I believe this product is making a difference. I had one of those "it gets worse before it gets better" periods where I had a few breakouts before my face completely cleared. Now I'm faithfully using these products and noticing that it's much easier to apply makeup because my face is much smoother. I have noticed a decrease in the oiliness of my face as well. I am hooked so far and will definitely reorder this product.

Use it after a shower

I use this product in combination with the AHA souffle. I have had acne my entire life and now it's turned into "adult acne". The oil free gel does not cause breakouts, and has helped clear up my acne. The only thing that needs improvement is the packaging. The gel comes out of the tube very fast and it creates unnecessary waste.

I bought this because of the reviews. The first couple of times I used the Alpha Hydroxy, I could definitely see a clarity in my skin the next morning. I used every other night until my skin got used to it as I could see where it would totally dry out some people's skin. I haven't seen any magic with this formula and may try something else in the future, but this is a good product and is reasonably priced.

I have been using the Alpha Hydrox line for the nine months and love it. I was using Proactiv that didn't really help my skin a lot (I was using it for almost ten years). I have sensitive acne prone skin even as an adult and since switching over to Alpha Hydrox (I use their cleanser 2 x a day, oil free formula in the a.m. , retinol four nights a week as well as the 12% AHA souffle two times a week nightly) my skin has never looked so good. My skintone has evened out (I am quite pale although it has diminished freckling, old acne scars, and greatly improved with fine lines and wrinkles. I love this oil free formula, as it does make your skin very soft and minimizes pores. Highly recommend all Alpha Hydrox products plus they are affordable and actually do show results!

I love several of the products in this line. I'm 36, with fair, acne-prone skin. Every evening, I use AHA foaming wash, this product, and their enhanced lotion. My skin has cleared up significantly since I started using AHA. I get far fewer zits (usually only one, around my period), and when I do get pimples, they're smaller, fade faster, and don't leave marks - all due to AHA. For daytime, I use Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer, and a light Aveeno sunblock. I've been using this AHA-Aveeno combo for over six months now, and my skin looks better than it has in years! The only success I had close to this was with heavy benzoyl peroxide products that I used in my 20s; they cleared up my skin, but gave me premature fine lines. Now I've found products that clear up my skin _without_ aging it.
