I wanted to take interim cholesterol test between physician visits to ensure I was trending in the right direction. This test kit is a total letdown. it absolutely does not work. There is no way to get enough blood with the lancet provided. Directions are in the tiniest print possible. Results with not enough blood are crazy and all over the place.

This item is a waste of money. It was difficult to use, was inaccurate in their numbers and the strips are clostly. I sent the machine back and they said nothing was wrong. I sent them an email asking them to refund the money and they told me I would have to go thru Drugstore.com. I threw the machine out and all the strips because they were all worthless. I would compare my readings with my doctor - same day - within an hour and no readings were even close.

I bought it for my husband, he has cholesterol problems but the results w the monitor and the one at the doctor office are so much different, I know is just to give you an idea but the different is remarkable. Also the strips are so expensive and the package had just 3 supplies ... The lancets can break easily...

Easy to use, though it doesn't shut off in exit mode. I learned to wait a little longer than the instructions to it off. Good results. Would like the strips to be available in larger quantities than the three in the box. I would also like to be able to buy a "complete" set of test strips at once than having to buy three different bottles.

I used it one time and then after that it wouldn't work again. Just a waste of money. The instructions were easy and the first test was fine, but after that it just made strange buzzing noises and wouldn't respond to anything even after replacing the batteries.

I feel that this is a good product overall. The general glucose is Ok, as I compared it with a health insured meter, not an extreme difference. The general cholesterol was about the same as in lab. There is a variation of about 20-30 points. The HDL cholesterol needs some improvement with the test strips or?

Easy to use for the most. The memory is Ok. The exit I am not sure if there is a time delay.

It would be good to buy some of the cholesterol strips in a larger quantity. Ok prices for the glucose and general prices in the economy range. This to me is more accurate than some of the smaller test strips. They sometimes require two testings for me because of about a thirty point difference approximately.

Quality of the instrument needs to be improved. Ordered the Instrument, Cholesterol and Triglyceride test strips and the Trig strips gave a "Failed" on 2 of the 3 strips. At [$] apiece that sucks. I think the problem is with the Memo Chip. The soft keys are a problem in that they require too much pressure to move to the next function. If the system is in "Exit" mode the two buttons that are pushed down do not turn off the device.The testing concept is great, but the device needs to be more user friendly and better engineered. The LED readout is a really inexpensive panel and needs to be upgraded to a smaller font and more contrast ( see the The AccuChek ) device.. A bulky and clunky case. Too expensive for the effort required.

This blood test system is very easy to use and can use a number of types of CardioChek test strips (e.g. total cholesterol, HDL, etc.)
