I have 50 year old, hormonally-challanged skin which seems more reactive to skin-care products than it use to be. This truly is indeed a SOOTHING serum. The first time I used it my skin had been splotchy and red and irritated and it calmed my skin immediately. Right away I could see an even skin tone. I had no idea that was what my skin needed at the time, but evidently it was. Now I am using it as a lightweight moisturizer. If any products irritate your skin at all, I'd be willing to bet that this serum will give you the relief your skin needs. I highly recommend any Avene product to anyone with sensitive skin. I plan on trying one of their cleansers and the 50 spf tinted sunblock next. I trust this brand completely.

I really liked this product. I haven't used this brand before but after this serum I will definitely buy more of this brand. It evens out skin texture and is moisturizing. I basically used this as a moisturizer. I have oily/acne prone skin and I dont need to use much moisturizer. I have used tons of products in the past really expensive and really cheep but this one is a keeper.

I was studying abroad in Prague and my skin went insane on me. I always had a cystic pimple or two right before my period, and only on my greasy forehead (I've always had bangs). But suddenly I had bumps all over my cheeks...it was like a rash or teen acne but years too late. Acne treatment irritated it. I thought maybe I suddenly developed allergies since it was spring (but I never sneezed...oh well). It didn't go away after a month. I went to the pharmacy a million times, and finally the lady behind the counter suggested this. (pharmacies and drugstores are separate over there btw.) It was expensive, but I was desperate. Honestly, it tamed my skin. And during the winter, I have terrible flaking behind my ears and around the corner of my eyes that no amount of moisturizer can heal--only this. I'm a poor college student, but I know that I have to have Avene products, even though I can't find it anywhere in the US. Also, just one pump or two will suffice for the whole face.
