I have very fair, reactive skin which is prone to redness and splotchy, dry areas on my body. I've been using body oils which work well, but gave this cream a try since I've had success with Avène and their Thermal Spring Water.

I really like the consistency of the lotion, and it absorbs quickly. It keeps my skin hydrated all day. The scent is light, and is pretty much the same as all other Avène products. It's very moisturizing without being greasy or too thick, and feels fantastic on. I'm really glad I tried it.

This product will cure anyone's skin dryness! I have mild eczema which improved with usage of this product..especially in the winter. My dermatologist gave me a bottle when I was diagnosed with the skin condition because I would not take any oral or topical medications for it and it really kept it at bay. I first bought this product while vacationing in St. Martin. The skin care worker noticed that I had a sunburn and that my skin was very dry. I loved it so much that I bought two more bottles before leaving, and purchase them whenever there. I was so happy to find that Drugstore.com carries this great product. It is very soothing, wonderful after a shower/shaving legs. Non-greasy, odorless and leaves your skin glowing.

I bought this mainly as a hand soap. I wash my hands frequently and they tend to crack in the winter. The large bottle will probably last all winter the way I am using it:) I washed my face with it a few times and found it to be gentle, hydrating, and removed all of my makeup with ease. It is a pearly white gel with a light, I think pleasant, scent.

I like that this product is gentle. But my dry winter skin needs more. I think that during the the other seasons this cream will work great on my dry skin. It absorbs quickly and makes my skin soft. It also doesn't have too much of a smell which is great if you are allergic to fragrances or want to wear perfume and don't want your cream scent to interfere. So I would say that though it doesn't keep my skin from flaking during the winter it is a pretty good cream. It doesn't cause irritation or a reaction to my sensitive sometimes eczema skin that is allergic to most metals and cashmere and wools. So for that I will happy use it in less drying seasons. Plus, you get a lot of cream for your money!!

I purchased this product based on the reviews I read and I SO GLAD I DID. Most mornings I wake up with "alligator" skin on my legs. I rubbed Avene on my skin before bedtime last night and woke up to smooth skin.

I have very dry skin. It isn't heavy so I can use it in the summer. Winter will be the true test to see if i don't dry out anyway.
