I have mild rosacea and melasma. I'm 44, so I'm battling with the inevitable effects of time. My skin changes according to a will of its own, so I never know what it's going to do. It can be very dry, or annoyingly oily. Cetaphil Cream is my favorite all-purpose "beauty" product. I've been using it for years, and I will continue to enjoy the many benefits of this cream. Cetaphil's face washes and lotions are basic favorites, as well, but this cream is exceptional. This cream has a texture that I have not seen in any other beauty product. It feels thick, and silky, and it seems to melt into my skin. It immediately makes my skin look "plumped", feel much firmer, and it sooths all dryness and irritation. Just about every other cream (even CeraVe!) burns my skin, especially around my eyes. Cetaphil actually soothes any burning, and itching. I alternate using BHAs and Retinol treatments at bedtime, and after they soak in, I apply my trusty Cetaphil, to ensure that my face stays calm and silky. I like to use antioxidant skin treatments as well, but after they're absorbed, I apply my Cetaphil, because nothing else I've found keeps my skin supple with absolutely no greasiness. I even wear this as a daytime eye cream to plump lines and sooth puffiness and I've worn it under makeup (I let it sink in before makeup application) on days when my skin is irritated. My daughter's pediatrician recommended Cetaphil cream for use on diaper rash, and also for both my sons' exzema. The jar is HUGE and a little goes a long way, so Cetaphil cream is a bargain all around. I would pay much, much for for this cream, but I'm so glad I don't have to!

Works good!
My mom was recommended this for her dry skin that cracks and bleeds and it worked for her so I thought I'd try it on my peeling, dry skin.

It does work, but it's VERY greasy. I always put it on before I go to bed, and then take a shower right away in the morning otherwise I feel SO disgustingly greasy all day. It doesn't really have a scent to it. It's creamy and goes on really good. I like it a lot and will continue using it...I just wish it wasn't so greasy.
Comments about Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Fragrance Free, 16 oz:
I'm 71 and wear it well, and have used this stuff for years. Even the best store-brand knock-offs, "Identical Ingredients" notwithstanding, don't hold a candle to it... must be in the formulation, or perhaps the ratios of ingredients. Every morning, and after washing or bathing at any other time of day, I slap this stuff on literally from my nose to my toes; it's absolutely harmless even when rubbed vigorously over eye area, yet is the best I've found for heel and toe callouses from working outdoors barefoot in dust, stickers, desiccating mud and hot sun - yet still rock a sleek home-pedicure. This stuff is the best, no substitute - even when I'm short of funds, I never substitute with generics for this product.

Comments about Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Fragrance Free, 16 oz:
I was looking for a moisturizer that could be used year round and I think this may be the one. Currently, it is winter in the northeast and it is working very well for this time of year. We'll see when summer rolls around. My application advice is that a little goes a long way. Don't slather it on like other moisturizers and dab in sensitive areas like under and around the eyes.
Comments about Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Fragrance Free, 16 oz:
Dermatologist told me this was the best cream to use and not to bother with all the fancy, expensive, anti-age creams. He's right--#1 concern for aging skin is to keep moisturized. However, I live in PR and sometimes it is a little too heavy for everyday if I'm sweating. In that case, I apply only to the dry spots on elbows, knees, feet.
Comments about Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Fragrance Free, 16 oz:
I usually use cetaphil lotion, but in winter my skin tends to be dry. I bought this cream, it is richer and heavier than lotion but this product hydrates my skin well.
Comments about Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Fragrance Free, 16 oz:
Disclaimer: I have INCREDIBLYsensitive skin on my face. Even some products advertised for sensitive skin that I have tried in the past have irritated and left redness or a burning sensation. I bought this product just looking for something to use at night to keep my skin moisturized. I could not be happier with it. It is so gentle, it has no unpleasant scent to it, and you can even use it all over your body. It does feel a bit greasy when you first put it on, but it absorbs in really well and makes your skin feel like butter. Highly recommend, especially for people with sensitive skin!

Comments about Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Fragrance Free, 16 oz:
I have used this product for years. I have dry, sensitive skin and Cetaphil moisturizes it so well without being greasy and heavy. This is a particularly important point during the summer when you want your skin to feel hydrated but not oily. That is the way this cream makes my skin feel. At the same time, it is effective in the winter as well, despite its lightweight application. A really great product.
– Behind every Cetaphil product is the guiding philosophy of gentle power. Skin should be cared for without feeling greasy and heavy. This belief is encapsulated in Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, a fragrance-free blend of emollients and humectants that has been specially formulated for dry, sensitive skin.
Dry Skin
If your skin is dry, it is likely that it lacks sebum, the natural oil which lubricates the outer surface of the skin. Dry skin can easily become itchy and irritated. You can soothe and nourish dry skin by applying Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream on a regular basis. The unique combination of humectants and emollients in this rich, hydrating formula draw moisture into the skin and lock it in. Your skin can feel smooth and comfortable for several hours after application.
Sensitive Skin
Dry skin often reacts more easily to irritants, such as harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream has been specially developed to be kind to sensitive skin. Because it is fragrance free, it may be less likely to trigger an adverse reaction. This nourishing cream can even be used on skin that is prone to skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema.
Easily Absorbed
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream sinks into the skin quickly and is readily absorbed. It does not leave behind any greasy or sticky residue. Skin immediately feels soothed, softened and rejuvenated.
How to Use
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream should be massaged into the skin as often as required. Pay particular attention to areas of rough, dry skin, such as the elbows, knees, heels and hands. It is often beneficial to apply moisturizer directly after showering or bathing, while the skin is still damp. In this way you can lock moisture into the skin. Applying moisturizer before retiring for the night can allow it time to work on your skin as you sleep.
