I have sworn by Zicam for about 5 years. Other people say that the taste and texture is unpleasant.... but come on- it's zinc. You do however have to begin Zicam before the cold goes full blown, otherwise you've wasted product and money. The only temporary side effect is that I slightly lose my ability to taste. It comes back in full within two days of stopping Zicam. I've turned so many people on to this product and they swear by it too.

these rapidmelts work just as well as the spray, but it takes about 15 minutes for them to completely melt!
try talking to your co-worker and not foam at the mouth this way.
the chewables are gross, but at least I can get them down quickly and go back to work.

If I take this at the first sign of a cold and use as directed the effect is amazing! It lessens the symptoms of colds and shortens the duration of a cold. Always take it at the first sign. Your cold will be so much more manageable.

I have taken the rapidmelts twice as soon as I noticed cold symptoms. I take it every three hours until symptoms are gone, as recommended. One time last year and again this week. I had runny nose, headache, congestion, slight fever, general malaise, post nasal drip leading to cough. Generally felt rotten. Slept sitting up to help with cough. I also took an NSAID (ibuprofen), an antihistamine (Claritin) and a Tussin liquid (CVS) at night for cough. Symptoms started on a Monday around 3:00pm. I was considerably better by Tuesday afternoon and almost well by 9:00pm, with no cough and slept well. Wednesday am was fine, but with a little head fog cleared up with ibuprofen. I don't like the taste and would prefer a pill to swallow, but it worked both times, so I'm fine with it. Highly recommend having it on hand.

For best results, use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use until symptoms completely subside.
Adults and children 12 years of age and older:
Take one tablet at the onset of symptoms
Dissolve entire tablet at the onset of symptoms
Repeat every three hours until symptoms are gone
To avoid minor stomach upset, do not take on an empty stomach
Do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after use. Do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices for 30 minutes before or after use. Otherwise, drink plenty of fluids.
