Excellent soap, not great packaging

I have always loved this soap but I'm disappointed with the packaging. Like someone said earlier, I'm sure it's cheaper to manufacture but the packaging is not recyclable. They make a claim on the package that it will mean have a smaller landfill impact, but if it were recyclable, it would not be going into a landfill in the first place. If it weren't for the packaging, I'd give it four stars.

I first discovered Method's French Lavender in an ordinary bottle to place in my bathroom. I could tolerate the smell (I'm a severe, chronic asthmatic and have troubles with smells, etc.) and loved the way my hands felt after using this soap. I've been using the large bottles of refills for several years after discovering them at my local Target store, but have since had trouble finding any of the French Lavender soup refills. Now I am very pleased to be able to purchase the refills online without the hassle of checking out stores. Thank you so much for offering them at your online store!

This is the best liquid soap ever. Doesn't dry out your hands even if you wash them 20 times a day, doesn't overpower you with cheap scent, doesn't drip out of the dispenser, and the dispensers you can refill last forever. am SO glad that drugstore.com carries the refill! I had looked all over trying to find this refill for the 5 dispenser I already had, and nobody stocked it. [...] I only use this scent and brand because all the other liquid soaps I have tried have SO much very artificial smelling scent, I cannot tolerate them. (My daughter calls me the "bloodhound" because my sense of smell is profound.)

I use this hand wash every time I wash my hands. It doesn't dry my skin as much as other detergents. I live in a dry climate, so that is really important. And the product smells wonderfully. Lavender is my favorite. The product comes in refill sizes, which saves materials and energy. I applaud the company for going with the new container which is made from recycled materials. The only downside is the new container itself is not recyclable.
