The coarse side isn't greatly different from the fine side but enough for general rough/dry skin on feet. I use this every other day in the shower - at the end of the shower when the skin on my feet has had time to soak and soften. I never have callouse build up if I use it regularly. I'm a runner so am pretty tough on my feet.

I used to think that it took a lot of work to remove the dry, scaly skin from my feet. This works great in just a few minutes a couple of times a week. It creates quite a bit of dust in the process, but it's as easy to use as an emory board. It even owrks on small corns.
