Light lotion, not very moisturizing

Love the idea of a lotion with SPF, and since I really don't like the smell or greasiness of traditional sunscreens, I thought I'd give this a try. It does have a nice smell, not like a sunscreen, more like the regular Lubriderm. It's very light and not greasy at all and absorbs quickly. It, however, is not a great moisturizer. After a few hours the dryness of my skin is showing. I think it will be great in the summer when it gets more humid out and I don't need a heavier moisturizer.

I buy this all the time.

The SPF is something I look for in a lotion, and there isn't alot of lotions out there with SPF.

I used this lotion for three years. I loved the fact that it absorbed quickly, lightly moisturized my skin, and provided sun protection. However, I recently read that many environmental groups warn against oxybenzene, one of the key sunscreen ingredients in this product, as a potential toxin and/or carcinogen. For that reason, I stopped buying Lubriderm SPF 15 and switched to more natural sunscreens. That's a shame, too, because I really did like it. I wish they would change the formula so that it had fewer potentially toxic chemicals.

This is almost the only body lotion I can find that has suscreen in it. It is not the most moisturizing formula, but at least I can use it everywhere. Often, I use a more moisturizing lotion and then apply this on top, because it is pretty light and easily absorbed. I would love to see an SPF of 30 to protect me from getting sun damage and freckles.

I live in the Caribbean and have four active boys. It is almost impossible to get them to apply sunscreen on top of regular body lotion. The lubriderm spf kills two birds with one stone, daily skin moisture with added sun protection (any is better than none). Now I know when they are running around on the playground everyday they do have on sun protection. Thanks!

I can't give this product a higher rating because it does not provide broad-spectrum protection. For a sunscreen to be truly effective, and especially in terms of anti-aging properties, it should contain avobenzone (Parsol 1789), titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide as the active ingredient.

This offers very little protection against UVA (the aging rays). I rarely burn but got obvious sun from being out for just an hour in the hot sun immediately after applying this. Doesn't sink in well, and definitely doesn't moisturize enough. I'll be sticking with a good photo-stable sunscreen.

This stuff is great! It feels light and non-greasy but is enough moisture for my super-dry skin. There is a slight "sunscreen" smell, but it's no big deal. I feel like I'm really doing my skin a favor by using this SPF lotion daily.

My husband is very picky about lotion smells, but this one doesn't bother him. Every summer, I replace the heavy-duty winter lotion with this, and he's protected without me nagging! Also makes a good SPF hand lotion.
