i don't wear makeup, but this would be good to use underneath. it is truly fragrance-free. it's not oily at all. when you put it on it soaks right in. some moisturizers for dry skin can be too heavy. this isn't. i do have to reapply it in the afternoon but i don't mind. i find the alternative (greasy/rich) to be unbearable and won't wear them. i'm glad i found this. TWO thumbs up.
