This "night" is the best at night and also daily use but also swithc off with "Healthy Skin Anti Wirinkle/Anti Blemish" cream. Just got back from Greece (very hot and dry) and used this instead of makeup daily in sun (but covered face with hat). Hate SPF formulas as too smelly and/or greasy so this was just fine. I suffered from acne in high school and was prescribed accutane. Thankfully I did not end up with horrible acne scars. After the birth of my second child my skin flared up and i had pimples all around my mouth and jaw line. I used this diligently every night. Yes, at first I did peel a little as my skin adjusted to the retinol. Make sure to use sunscreen during the day while using this product. This cream cleared up my breakouts. My only gripe is that I need an additional, but miniscule amount of moisturizer on top after applying this. But my complexion tends to be a little on the dry side, so it probably isn't the case for everyone. It has been quite troubling for me. I have tried almost every miracle wrinkle cure out there, but nothing has worked. I had used Neutrogena Healthy Skin for years before the sagging skin set in, so I am now back to it, but now adding the "Night" formulation as well. While I don't see any large changes to my skin after a few weeks of continual use, I do like how it doesn't hurt my very sensitive skin and it goes on smooth and isn't greasy. I'm not sure there is any miracle cure out there (other than surgery) so I'll continue to use this product as it's very cost effective and does just as well as any of the expensive miracle cures out there. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| good for adult acne by human with skin in Norfolk, VA on 5/20/09Pros: Goes On Smoothly, Moisturizes Well, No fragrance, Not Greasy Best Uses: Bedtime Bottom Line: recommended I've stopped using benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid to manage my adult acne (they've always been too harsh and haven't really worked), and started using only this product, every night. The small amount of Retinol is enough to not overly irritate my skin (although it took a few weeks to get used to it), and it seems to be preventing the formation of cystic acne on my face, as I currently am completely clear (not usual for me). Neutrogena also makes a Retinol/Salicylic acid treatment, but that might be too irritating for some. I will definitely keep using this product. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
