Recommended. by myELFboy in WA on 11/11/08Pros: Goes On Smoothly, Long Lasting, Moisturizes Well, Softens Skin Cons: Leaves shiny face Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer Best Uses: Deep Moisturization, Dry/Chapped Skin, Morning Bottom Line: recommended I have acne and use prescription acne medications (Retin A Micro) that cause my skin to get pretty dry. This stuff works well however, and because it's oil free I feel safe using it. Neutrogena is a brand i trust, as well. It's a good sized bottle. kinda pricey, but worth it if it doesn't clog pores and if it moisturizes. Try it if you're in a boat like mine.
Not terrible, but... by Lindsay in NY on 9/16/08Pros: Long Lasting, Moisturizes Well, SPF Protection, Softens Skin Cons: Bad Smell, Bad for sensitive skin Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Dry/Chapped Skin, Winter Dryness Bottom Line: not recommended I wouldn't buy this again. I'm on a mission to find a moisturizer that relieves dry skin, has SPF, and doesn't sting my eyes or make my eczema flare up.
This did a decent job relieving dry skin after washing my face, but it made my skin look somewhat greasy and I didn't care for the chemical odor it had. After using it for a month or two, it caused my eczema to flare up in odd spots like under my eyes, and it sometimes made my eyelids sting.
All in all, it's not the worst moisturizer I've used. It's not one I plan to purchase again, however.
I love this as a ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/26/08I love this as a moisturizer, but the SPF could be higher. I have oily, acne-prone skin, and this has kept my pores clear so far (it's been about a month). I use an exfoliating cleanser by Biore at night after removing my makeup and this removes any sunscreen residue.
I have dry sensitive skin ... by Sherry R in Plano, TX on 3/17/08I have dry sensitive skin and have tried so many things on it... this is the best! I've used it for over five years and still love it. I just wish they still made it in the tinted formula. I wore that all summer long!
This moisturizer is such ... by Megan in Brooklyn, NY on 1/9/08This moisturizer is such a disappointment. I have been using it for the past few months, and I've noticed that I have started getting pimples quite frequently. I thought it might be the lotion, since my face does feel greasy and oily for the entire day after applying it, so I stopped using it for a few weeks and my skin cleared up. Now I will just have to throw this stuff out. On the up side, the lotion is really unscented, which I like.
I purchased this product ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 11/27/07I purchased this product mainly for sun protection and to use under make up. I found it too greasy and it felt oily it left my face with a shine. Wont purchase again.
This gives me a nice ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 11/19/07This gives me a nice moisture but non-oily glow to start my day off and it doesn't break me out. I have mild adult acne, but I still need a sunscreen before I go out. I put this on after washing my face in the morning and then I use the Neutrogena Rapid Clear pads for touch-up cleaning during the day. After that, I usually re-apply any of the other Neutrogena moisturizers for acne-prone skin. I like this one as a morning moisturizer.
My husband and I both ... by Amy P in chicago, IL on 10/31/07My husband and I both have normal to dry skin and have been using this moisturizer for many years. He likes it because it's not heavily scented and absorbs quickly. I like using this product in the spring and summer months but need to switch to something more moisturizing in the winter. Some of the other reviewers have pointed out that it causes a sheen when applied, with which I don't disagree. I can see it not being a good product for oily skins, though it is "oil free". However, we've been happy with it and will continue to use it.
For some reason, this oil ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/18/07For some reason, this oil free moisturizer clogged up my pores! I generally like Neutrogena products but I won't be using this one again.
I know this is an ... by Ann T in Sylvania, GA on 9/28/07I know this is an oil-free product, but I still found it to be one of the greasiest lotions I've ever used. Perhaps it's the wax, but something in it made me feel very sticky, oily, and slimy. And it never, ever absorbed. No amount of makeup would cover the shine and it just felt nasty on my skin. I used the rest of the bottle as a lotion on my legs after shaving. It was fine for that, but I'd never use this again on my face.
