I use the other one and it smells much better. A "dab" truly goes a long way as the bottle says. I'm not sure why some people say it does not rub in well. Perhaps they are using too much. The cream is really a cream and not a lotion - it's really thick. It's easier to work it into your skin if you wet your hands a bit first and dry it lightly. It takes a few seconds, but once it's absorbed, the skin feels very soft and moist. It takes a few times to get used to it but it works wonderfully. This is especially a problem in the winter - my fingertips peel and knuckles crack. Therefore, I have tried dozens of hand creams and this one is probably the best I've used. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand cream is great because it was CREATED FOR ARTIC FISHERMAN! Their hands were in ice water all the time! This product works. I've used it for years, recommended it to lots of people who couldn't get over the results, including a pediatrician who washes her hands at least 30 times a day. It helps to start using this hand cream BEFORE the harsh weather starts, and then use as needed. I try to put it on before bedtime. See my Aquaphor review about the "overnight spa" treatment for hands. This and Aquaphor are my two favorite skin care products for softening hands and dry skin. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My entire life I have had ... by Jeffrey K in Mableton, GA on 9/4/05My entire life I have had large, dry patches of skin on my fingers and knuckles that cracked and would bleed - very painful. I went to doctors and tried lots of different prescription ointments but nothing helped. I decided to try this product and after 2 weeks of steady use the dry, scaly patches and cracks were gone. Now I just apply it once a day to maintain. If I go for more than a week without using it, the dry patches start to come back so I know it is the Neutrogena keeping it away. It feels thick and greasy like Vaseline at first but (unlike Vaseline) it quickly soaks into your skin and then your hands just feel really soft. I have even used this in desperate times when my face was really dry in the middle of the day and I didn't have anything else, and it didn't do anything but moisturize my chapped, flaky skin and make me feel a lot better. I have really sensitive skin, too, so I was surprised it didn't make my face break out. I would definitely recommend this stuff! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
