Pros: Easy To Use, Gentle, Great Color, Natural Look
Cons: Smells Bad
Commitment To Color: Semi-Permanent
Bottom Line: recommended
I colored my medium brown hair with a semi-permanent dark auburn & it turned out dark brown with a hint of mahogany. I hated it. A couple days later I colored over it with a permanent honey brown, and that did nothing to change the color. I wasn't sure if I should try Color Oops, Color Fix, or Color Zap, but I read the reviews for Color Oops & I liked that it was natural. It really wasn't as stinky as a lot of the reviews said. Definitely smelled like eggs. I followed the directions exactly & I love the results. Definitely took the gross mahogany out & left me with soft medium brown hair!

I never write reviews but I feel Oops deserves it. I had blue black hair that at first I liked but later hated it. I thought I was doomed to keep it this way. I had gone to a salon and was told $200 just to bleach it. Yesterday I went to my local drug store and I saw a box of Oops and I decided to give it a try. I was skeptical at first and afraid of damaging my hair beyond repair. I followed the instructions to the letter and WOW!!! I was so pleased with the results. Oops actually removed my deep black hair. Its not like a dramatic change but it was a reddish brown. Today I went to purchase another box and the results are even better now like an almost medium Auburn. The best thing is that its ammonia and bleach free. The smell is horrible but it goes away after a while. I am very happy with my hair now. In about a month I will try this again just to go a little lighter. About three years ago I tried to remove an ugly hair color myself with L'Oreal Color Remover Kit and I burned my hair so bad that I had to cut it real short to remove all the damage. With Oops my hair feels a little dry but not burned or damaged. I am a little angry that I never saw this product before, it would have saved my hair three years ago. I can't afford a salon this is why I have to do it myself.

I dyed my hair several weeks ago and hated it the second I saw the final result. I used this product, and was able to dye my hair a different color the same day. WHAT A MIRACLE! I didn't even know such a product existed. So happy now. I now have a new color and it was possible because Color OOPS helped me fix a horrible mistake!

I naturally have dark blonde hair with natural highlights and since highschool I decided to highlight my hair to have it lighter and i've done that for years and then i decided to put low lights in my hair(brown) to make it natural looking and so i did a partial it was cheaper so my underneath from ears down were still bleach blonde so i decided to dye my underneath brown to match my new highlights i left brown in longer then box told me to so it wouldnt turn orange and i washed it out and it came out BLACK cause i left it in to long i looked like a skunk so i called my hair dresser to get it fixed she couldnt get me in for a couple of weeks so i heard about OOPS so i was like what the heck i will try it it cant look any worse besides i had that back up app. so i followed the steps rinsed my hair longer then 20 min because my hair is thick and then looked my hair it still looked dark so i was like ok it didn't work so i blowed dryed it and starting flipping out my roots and by my ears my hair turned bright orange and the rest of my hair and underneath turned a dark dark red i was like what the hell! so in long run i spent way more money trying to fix it myself now its going to cost me over $100 to fix it NOT WORTH IT AT ALL! I will Never recommend this to anyone!

I was so excited to get this product. I have Blonde hair but like a year ago I decided to go black. So I liked the black and all but I always like change so I was getting tired of it. I was going to let my hair grow out but it looked ridiculous with blonde roots and black hair. So I found this product and read where others had dyed their hair to black and wanted to go back to natural color. Well I followed all the instructions and I was majorly disppointed! I wouldnt even give this one star. Granted it took the color out of my hair underneath and a little more by my roots but the main part of my hair where everyone sees it didnt do anything for that. It just made it look more hideous. I do not recommend anyone getting their hopes up with this product it was horrible and it smelt awful my hair stunk for a few days and i washed it everyday!

Cons: None at all

Best Uses: Graying Hair, Thicker Hair

Used this to remove too dark permanent haircolor that had not faded after a month. Because I have naturally curl, and hence, porous hair, I used it on my root area for 10 minutes, then pulled it through the rest of my hair for another 5 minutes. Washed and rinsed for 15 minutes, washed and rinsed again for another 5 minutes. Then applied a deep conditioning treatment for 40 minutes, rinsed, and my hair looks amazing. My natural red-brown color is back! I will need to recolor soon, because my graying roots are coming through, but it was gentle and really worked! Do it, and don't be afraid!

I'll start off by saying it is not a miracle worker- however it did was I wanted to an extent. Last August, I woke up one morning and decided to dye my hair, which was naturally a nice medium brown and had natural blonde highlights in it, to a rich, ruby red (think Sharon Osbourne.) Recently, I decided it just wasn't for me anymore and I wanted to go blonde. Of course, I never realized how difficult red is to bounce back from. I thought of all the ways I could get there, bleaching it out runs the risk of it turning orange- dyes aren't always dependable... and then I stumbled upon Color Oops. I read the reviews, and finally figured; "Why not?" So I bought it. I also bought a box of light brown to cover up any possible mistakes that might happen. First off, people complaining about the smell; it's honestly not THAT bad. Yes, it smells a bit like Rotten Eggs- but lets face it, we've all smelled normal hair dye, and if you can get through that, you'll certainly be able to survive this. It's not very messy- yes, its not as thick as normal hair dye, but I wouldn't say it was runny or dripping all over. Toss an old towel over your shoulders and you're good to go. The 20 minute development time passed and I hopped in the shower. Followed the instructions; wash, shampoo, rinse, the whole nine yards- did everything. Got out, and noticed the majority of the red was gone. And now the fun part; Yes, there was quite a bit of hair that had turned Gold. I wasn't shocked though, I actually expected it. I knew the color dye I had been using would be a royal pain to get out. Anyway, I dried my hair, and then dyed it with the brown I had purchased. It's close to perfect now. As I said, I didn't expect to get out of the shower and see I was back to my natural color. But I was glad I bought that box of Brown! I knew going into it that there was a chance to come out with Gold hair, so I wasn't shocked or freaking out when it happened. Overall, if you're going to dye your hair again anyway, but you want to get rid of the color you've got now, it's a good & affordable way to go, in my opinion. Like I said, not a miracle worker, but not a total waste what-so-ever.
