This product worked great! I had dyed my hair Blue Black and it looked horrible on me. I had planned on making an appointment at a salon to have my hair color stripped, however after reading the reviews on this product I decided to use this first. It worked wonderful and my hair color returned to its previous color. I'm very happy. Definitely use this product!

I have long hair, and always need to buy 2 boxes of dye to do my hair, assumed this would be the same. It's not! There is plenty in one box for all my hair. I was really floored at how well this product worked. My hair is brown. I have been dying it myself for 15 years, I always use Clairol nice & easy, I always go just a darker or richer shade of brown or reddish brown. This past time "natural darkest brown" was actually black. I used color oops, which brought it to a neutral medium brown, and I dyed it again. The whole time the Color Oops was on my head my hair still looked black so I didnt think it was working. SUPRISE! After I shampooed it was like the dye just came off. I am amazed. It left my hair just a little tiny bit elastic feeling. Nothing at all like the damage that would be done with bleaching. If I had used the regular instead of the extra strength I bet I wouldn't even have had to dye it again.

This is an excellent, gentle, non-damaging product to remove unwanted hair color pigment. It does not return your hair to its natural color because your natural pigments have already been removed by the hair coloring process & can never be returned - only grown out again from the root. If you want to remove artificial hair color pigment so you can start fresh with a new color (especially if that color is lighter than your current one) Color Oops is a great help in getting a clean result. I love that this product is easy to use, easy to find at the drugstore, & very affordable. I like that it's gentle enough to repeat the process if your initial attempt wasn't complete. When re-coloring after using Color Oops, use a much lighter shade of the color you want because your hair will absorb more color faster & can easily turn out too dark.

This hair dye remover works surprisingly well! I dyed my hair with Natural Instincts over half a year ago, and the color was supposed to be dark brown and semi-permanent, but it turned black and never faded at all. I figured that the only way to remove the color was with bleach, and since my hair was already damaged, I really didn't want to go that route. I looked up hair color removers online, and came across Color Oops; while it didn't return my hair to its natural color, it did remove the black, and left me with a really pretty medium auburn brown color. I think that even better results will happen for others - the directions mention that the sooner you use the Color Oops after a bad dye job, the better it will work. This product definitely smells like hot springs (sulfur), but its not unbearable; plus, it costs a lot less than getting a color correction at a salon! Good luck and I hope this helps!

I used Natural Instincts Nutmeg and it turned my hair black instead of brown. I Googled my problem and found out about Color Opps. I followed the directions and it did take the black out, but it made the top of my hair a light peachy color and the bottom stayed brown. Luckily I also bought Loving Care's wash out color in light brown, so I colored it right away and got rid of the two-toned look. Even though I picked light brown this time, I got a very dark brown with reddish tones I hate. I am now going to try using Prell shampoo, since I heard it also strips away color. Once the new color washes out I think I need to see a hair dresser. The product does work - it did take the black dye out. And even though the results were hideous, I was able to remedy it immediately to a normal shade. Thank goodness I am using semi-permanent hair dyes.

It works well. I only have one complaint about it: I dyed my hair red and I am normally blonde, I used the extra strength because I had the red in for about a week. It worked well but it did leave a tint of red in so when I dyed my hair back to blonde it turned my hair orange and I had to go to the salon and bleach my hair out to fix it. But it did strip most of the color out!!!

This works. I used black hair dye and it took most of it out. Just be sure not to use it on your roots first or they will get VERY light before the rest of your hair. Its a good product it works
