when i first saw this soap, I had to buy it for a few reasons a) its shea butter-based, which most of us know is an awesome moisturizer b) it helps out people who need it. Unlike most shea butter soaps and other animal-free bar soaps, it lasts longer than three weeks. I bought my soap in December and it's still going strong. Although no soap really moisturizes like lotion, this one doesnt leave me feeling stripped and dry. When I can afford to do something nice for my body, I buy this soap. If someone can find me a better shea butter soap for this price or cheaper, let me know. Otherwise, I'll stick with Out Of Africa. extra note: check out their youtube video. It's pretty cool!

Not what I was looking for
I had bought this natural product, hoping I could use it given my allergies. I was also hopeful that given it was made of shea butter, it would like the smell. Read complete review

I think it's more my own ignorance of shea butter and black soup, but this produce wasn't was I expected. It didn't smell bad, per se, but the smell was unpleasant. It also left me a bit itchy (but I have SUPER sensitive skin and chemical allergies, so I can't imagine that's a common reaction).
Anyhoo, I threw out the bar in a couple washes and won't buy again.
That being said, if you like black soup, this is affordable and part of the proceeds go to charity.

This soap smells so good! It cleans well too, and my skin feels nice after using it. It doesn't dry my skin out. I can even use it on my face without a problem.

Pro's: long lasting & quick to lather. Wonderful, raw, natural smell. I feel that it's improving the softness of my (42 year old) skin in just under two weeks. It looks like it will last at least a month, and that's taking a nice long bath each day. It is very relaxing to lather up with this soap. I love that it's all natural and for what it is, it is a great deal as well.

I just recently heard about black soap. I thought I'd try it because it was on sale. After using it several times I think I've find a great product. The smell is wonderful, refreshing and light. The lather is great even though there is no sls in this product. I will continue to buy this even when it isn't on sale.

Dr. Oz recommended an organic black soap for dry skin. This one really does a great job of moisturizing but the scent is a woodsy, musky scent more for a man. For now I will use it as a facial soap. Since it moisturizes so well I will try the apricot scent next time around and see how well it compares.

I put on a cleansing cream, then wash my face with this soap. I just use it for my face and it has lasted a couple of years!

We love the way our skin feels after showering with this soap. After a couple days of using our first bar, we just placed an order for more so we are sure to never run out. My husband and I both have sensitive skin and this is so soothing, not an itch to be had by either one of us!
