Worst breakouts in my life

I tried my friend's wave before buying it myself. I am glad that I did not purchase it. This product, using a brand new cleansing pad and relatively clean skin caused me to have the worst breakout of my life. My forehead and chin was covered in pimples, and I am not one to normally get acne at all. Directly after using the product, yes, my skin felt smooth and clean, but I could more easily get that by using a rough scrub than the Wave. If you have normal skin, I would not recommend this product for anything. There were no benefits for me.

Everyone should own one...

I have had problems with blackheads since I can remember. I haven't found anything effective in removing them without causing irritation. I first clean with the pads then add a small amount of face scrub to the pad and use it with that. In only a couple uses EVERY SINGLE ONE of my blackheads dissapeared. I haven't had any skin irritation like others, I guess it just depends on the person.

I started using it about 3 times a week. At first my skin felt really soft, and I had high hopes. The next morning I woke up my nose was peeling and I had more acne on my forehead around the hairline, chin, and cheeks! It was terrible. I stopped using it, and decided to use it just once a week but still the same thing happened!! Don't be fooled by this product! Yeah it leaves your skin soft, but with a face full of acne nobody would wanna touch your skin!!! I bought the Blackhead eraser pads, and I put them on the wave and they work soo much better!!

this is a big waste of money. the only thing it does is buzz and make alot of noise. I have used it a couple of times and i always end up taking the pads off and scrubbing without the device because it just doesnt do anything! The pads are nice and smell good. they clean well on their own. Dont waste you money on the device. I gave it to my daughter to pretend with....at least she likes it.

I bought The Wave based on the positive reviews here and it did leave my skin smooth after the first use, however, two days later I had a major breakout the likes of which I hadn't experienced in years! My skin was irritated and inflamed for a week. The Wave felt so gentle when I first used it that I thought it was not doing what it promised, but my skin was clean and smooth after use, but 2 days later, a horror! This was several months ago. I found it at the bottom of a draw recently, and though I was tempted to give it one more try, I through it in the trash instead.

I like the wave a lot. it cleans well and does leave my skin feeling very smooth after. The only downside is the thin pads. You stick these little pads onto the surface of the wave which is covered with tiny little plastic spiky things that keep the pad in place...the problem is that if you zone out and press too hard to your face the spiky things come through and can feel scratchy...thicker pads are needed. The reviewers who say the product doesn't foam up a lot are right but it doesn't have to, it does a great job even though it doesn't get super lathered. A trick you can use is to gently drag it over your eyebrows....the hair will get the lather going.

I had pretty cleared skin before I started using this product. A month later after using this product, I have more breakouts than ever! Let alone those sneaking bumps that eventually surfaced to become zits. I think this product might work for some, but certainly not for me. If I ever miss huge zits and break outs all over my skin, I would start using this product.

This product works great. but at first it leaves your skin clean & really soft. But after an hour or so, my skin turns kind of oily. cause i have oily skin, but normal washing doesnt cause this. but oh well.... :)

Ugh. Completely useless. It didn't make my skin feel any different, not smoother, not cleaner. I think this will only have that effect on someone who does not regularly exfoliate. It's way too gentle for me, it just feels like nothing. I do regularly exfoliate and afterward I feel a much bigger difference than using this weak thing. Also the pads are horrible and don't foam up. Even if you wet it and smoosh it a bit to get the soap out it doesn't have much.
