I find the standard head awkward to use for inside tooth surfaces, and the compact head much easier to use for this. For the best of all possible worlds, I switch heads halfway through brushing.

i got these compact heads because i wanted some new ones immediately and the normal ones are out of stock. These get the job done, but there is really no reason for them. I'd much rather have the normal ones. In addition to covering more ground, they also allow you to use more toothpaste.

I work in the dental field, so I already know how good Sonicare toothbrushes are. I love the compact size brushheads because they fit way in the back of my small mouth and don't make me gag. You get the cleanest teeth ever! Especially good if you have crowns, partials, bridgework or gum disease.
