I have been using this product for my 10 yr old cat who has arthritis in his hips and spine. He has been on it for about 3 yrs now. Helps alot with his pain, nearly back to normal. Also give the Double Strength formual for dogs to my 100 lb German Shepherd. Works great for her also, but have learned over the years that you can't give it everyday or it causes stomach upset. So I give it every other day to my dog and every third day to my cat. No digestive problems on that schedule.

Our cat had major surgery to her back leg about 4 years ago. At the time of her leg surgery they did an xray of her back and said that she had advanced arthritis. My cat Gertie has FLUTD and was suffering one bout after another until I started using Cosequin on the recommendation of her vet. She takes just one capsule a day and has no trouble swallowing it. Our cat got run over by car at <1 yr. Broke right femur above knee and left femur at pelvic socket. Pins installed/removed on right joint and ball at top of femur removed and smoothed over. My 14 year old cat was starting to show signs of arthritis in his front and rear legs on his right side. I called his veternarian and she recommended this product. I noticed a difference on the third day of taking it. He has some pep in his step and even jumps to his scratchers without hesitating. I should mention that he is also on a diet and that may be helping him too. I would definitely recommend this. I simply sprinkle a pill into pill pockets in the morning and on the evening I sprinkle one pill on his wet food, otherwise he would be eating too many pill pockets/calories.

I sprinkle the contents of one capsule in my cat's milk (which he begs for each morning). Makes the milk smell kinda fishy, which he seems to love. Too soon to tell yet if they are helping him, but I have high hopes, since he does ingest them willingly, unlike most meds!

Initial Period - 4 to 6 weeks

Under 10 lbs - 1 capsule sprinkled on food daily
Over 10 lbs - 2 capsules sprinkled on food daily

Once desired response is obtained, capsules may be administered every other day for maintenance. Number of capsules administered may be increased at any time depending on your cat's needs. If you cat east dry food, the food may be moistened with a small amount of water so that the powder sticks. Alternatively, the contents of the capsules may be mixed with a small amount (i.e., tablespoon) of wet or moist food to ensure your cat eats the entire amount.

This produce is in a capsule to ensure an accurate amount is administered to your cat. Store in a cool, dry area out of the direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
