I apply daily in combination with a hair leave-in condition air or other cream with some hold too because my hair tends to be dry. Need to be careful and not apply too much or I will have a wet look for a while, which I don't really like. It's the best gel for my mixed hair of waves and somewhat tight curls.

I have coarse, straight, long hair but love to have soft, wavy hair. Every night after washing my hair, I apply a quarter size amount of this melting gel all over my hair and casually blow dry it at low heat to 90% dry. Then I french braid my whole head of hair, secure with an elastic band at the very end and go to sleep. The next morning, I just remove the elastic band, loosen and shake the waves. The waves are soft to touch, 100% not stiff at all. And the waves are able to hold their shape all day. No need to have a perm or use hot curling iron to achieve the ideal waves=no damage to your hair from harsh chemicals or high heat.

I use this on wet hair and let it air dry. I've tried lots of hair products but haven't found anything better for curly hair that has enough weight to calm it down but not so much it is crunchy!

I have been using this product for more than 20 years. I have curly/wavy frizzy hair. I apply this product and it takes away the frizz and doesn't make my hair sticky or hard. Just has a soft hold to it and totally works. I put it on damp hair and it keeps frizz away also helps my curls stay in place. Would highly recommend!

I have a closet full of other types of gel for my hair and none of them come close to Loreal Melting Gel. This Melting Gel is the best product I have found for my slightly curly, thick hair. It is not sticky, it is not stiff, it is just perfect to help boost and keep the curl in my hair all day long, since I have long hair I shampoo every other day, so the next day all I have to do it spray it with a little water, scrunch my hair a little and it comes right back! Love this product. Please don't ever stop selling it, like all the stores have done. This is the only place I can find this product.

After using this product every day for many years, he main thing I worry about is that I'll wake up one morning and the manufacturer will have "improved" it. It's perfect just the way it is.

This is the only product I use on my long, curly hair. It keeps it from being frizzy. It looks great all day. It never has that plastic look to it and you can always run your fingers through it. This gel is easy to you. Take it from someone who has never been able to use any hair product, let alone a hair dryer. I love it and have been using it for years.
