I bought this as a gift for Christmas. Upon receipt I noticed it was good quality without the typical rubber smell I associate with natural mats (I have the Jade mat for myself and that has a certain distinct odor that diminishes over time). The thickness is very good and it seems like it will hold up a long time. Also, the color representation is accurate on the website. I definitely recommend this mat for beginner or advanced practice.
