I picked this up while on vacation because I had a cold and wanted to be as decongested as possible before getting back on an airplane. It does have a strong scent but to me it was a menthol/medicine smell. It definitely helped me.

My 5yo has significant allergy and sinus issues. Some nights we just need more than the daily meds give and this helps. I like that it turns off for 5 min every hour - makes me feel better about potential for overheating (it has never felt hot). It does use batteries quickly though. I use the pads more than one night. Sometimes, I can open a pad and just use it without the fan on, then stretch it to 2 or 3 nights. More expensive than I'd like, but if it helps my child not cough all night and reduces a bit of meds going into my child's body, I'm pleased.

What garbage. I really wanted to like this and not have to drag out a vaporizer for my congestion and stuffy nose. I was expecting a medicinal/herbal scent. I normally am not sensitive to smells like my husband is but the smell was nowhere close to eucalyptus or menthol that you'd get from sucking a cough drop etc. Instead it was sickly sweet like bubble gum. Instead of clearing my nose and head, it gave me a perfume induced headache!!!

Unclip the cartridge from unit.
Tear foil pouch at notch to expose pad. Do Not Touch Exposed Pad Directly. \
Slide pad into the clipping cartridge.
Clip cartridge back onto the unit.
Remove plastic tag from battery before use.

To Replace Pad: (After 8 hours of use)

Unclip the cartridge from unit
Press the clip to release and discard the used pad.

Replacing Batteries:

Unscrew the bottom panel and replace with 2 "AAA" Batteries
Screw the bottom panel back to the unit.

Do not use if sealed flowing vapors packet is torn or broken.

Do not block airflow of Vapor Fan unit.
Do not use in small, confined areas without adequate ventilation.
Do not place exposed pad on furniture or in contact with fabrics, bedding and other materials that might present a fire hazard.
The Flowing Vapors™ unit is not a toy and should be handled by adults only.
Do not immerse unit in water.
Do not use any other pad or oils with Flowing Vapor unit
