I wanted waterproof mascara for traveling into hot countries. I was really happy when I saw this would not run or smudge, but could be removed with warm water an a little soap. So far, no smudging or running, but it does NOT come off with soap and water.

It goes on quickly because of the generous amount, but I would prefer to take a little longer to apply a lesser amount.

This is so far the best waterproof volumizing mascara I've found. I recently bought the same type from a high-end make-up brand for $27. It does not work as well and flakes too! Sticking with Cover Girl! Sometimes you DON'T get what you pay for and less expensive stuff is better!!!

Things great about this: waterproof; brown-black color works best for me; lengthens and separates. Since my favorite has been discontinued by another brand, I've been searching for a replacement and this is it.

Things that aren't so great... the fat applicator. Kind of hard to get a grip, maybe they should put some little "tread" marks so it won't slip out of your fingers! ... just a thought.

I was looking for a soft black/brown mascara to use for everyday wear, going to work, or whenever I want a more natural look than the "blackest black" mascara. This product came highly recommended from a makeup artist, so I gave it a try. It's phenomenal! The applicator effectively applies the mascara evenly and with NO clumps. I don't even need to use a spoolie brush afterward to lift and separate my lashes because the applicator works so well. Way to go, CoverGirl!

I chose this product because it's waterproof which I need living in the humid midwest and am quite pleased with it. It got me through the sticky Ohio summer with general success and now in the fall I notice at day's end there's virtually no running and only minimal flaking. While I agree with other reviewers stating that it has a tendency to clump, this can be tamed by simply stirring the brush around in the tube prior to removing it and slightly dabbing the tip if necessary. I find the most effective way to apply it is to tilt my head back back slightly and apply it the middle of my lashes outward; this maximizes separation. Others complain that it's difficult to remove but keep in mind that it is waterproof; a quality eye-makeup remover should do the trick!

This mascara does provide thick lashes, but the wand handle is too thick and is a strange shape. I find it hard to hold on to and hard to control, so it makes it difficult to apply the mascara skillfully. I make less mistakes now that I have been using it for a year. It does make bold lashes and so I continue to use it. I wish CG would redesign the handle though.

I bought this a few days ago and I'm a fan. It's the first mascara that actually keeps my lashes curled for the whole day. It's really difficult to remove but I kinda expected that because it's waterproof. For me, it doesn't add volume because of the type of brush it has but it adds length.
