I got this shampoo based on positive comments. I was looking for a restorative and moisturizing shampoo to use, since I color my hair at home.

All three times I used it, I got a powerful wave of ammonia smell. I've been careful to shampoo first so it won't contact my body wash, but it doesn't seem to matter. Even after drying, my hair smells like ammonia.

Even worse, this shampoo makes my sensitive, dry scalp itch.

I'm afraid I'll be throwing the rest of this out and looking for something else.

i was very suprised at the quality of this shampoo. my hairdresser recommended it to me because one of her clients started using it and it had done wonders for the health of her hair. i love it because it lathers so well, but does not strip my hair. i have fine, colored, highlighted hair and this cleaned well but did not dry it out. i would highly recommend this shampoo. it is better than some professional brands i have used.

I have an oily scalp with dry ends and baby fine hair. This cleans well, lathers beautifully, smells good, and doesn't strip the ends. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

I have tried many expensive salon products. None compare to the repair quality of Dover Moisturinzing Shampoo and Conditioner. Save your money and be happier.

I am a Bumble & Bumble fan, but thought I would try this shampoo after seeing it recommended on a curly hair review. I've tried it for a week now and have received compliments on my hair. It's more bouncy, full, and this weekend I'm going to try to let it air dry. I know most people say that curly hair should not be blow dried, but mine always looks better dried with a diffuser. With this, I think I could let it dry naturally and it would come out nice and not frizzy.
