I put a thin layer all over my face and let it sit like a face mask for about 5 min. Works great and doesn't dry out my skin. I use it every night.

I bought this product after reading a review on a blog. I have been using it for 6-8 months (on my third tube). While it's not a product I am "in love" with - I definitely notice a significant reduction in acne (especially hormone relate acne). I no longer fight with those once-a-month breakouts. This product is thick and I don't feel rinses clean off my skin. I use it at night only. I dampen my face, apply this product all over, let it sit for a minute, add some Purity Made Simple, and cleanse with my Clarisonic. I use Arcona's cranberry bar to wash in the morning or more Purity Made Simple. I found the combination with this product and PMS (haha) has worked the best for cleansing at night. For now, this is a staple in my skincare routine.

I've been using this product for almost three weeks and since then I've had about 7 bad pimples. This comming from me, a person who had severe acne on my forehead and serious breakouts during period time. I also use the scrub, toner, and gel stress control. It has worked better than anything else I have tried so far but it still hasnt gotten rid of the little bumps on my face which continues to frustrate me but maybe after a bit more use those too will go away.

skin looks good! I am 37 and fighting acne and combination skin that returned after getting off of the pill. I am African American and was in search of skin care products that could fight acne and hyperpigmentation. The first week that I used the acne stress cream, toner, and the rapid clear fight and fade gel, my face felt good, but I didn't see much of an improvement. The second week brought on about 5-6 new pimples and that worried me to the point where I considered stopping using the products, but I liked the toner so much that I continued. For week three, my skin calmed down and my pores got smaller. This is week four, and the scars are fading fast and my skin feels smooth as if I've exfoliated. What's won me over about these products is that this is my period week, and my skin has really calmed down and I see no new pimples in sight. I would highly recommend these products, especially the toner, which for me, does something to my skin as far as moisturizing it to the extent that I don't need to use a moisturizer afterwards. (I live in Los Angeles near the beach, and it's warm now, so I expect the moisturizer situation to change in the fall/winter.) I stopped using my prescription of Retin-A after the first week, and it remains in my medicine cabinet. I have also stopped using DDF's matte moisturizer, which, now that I look back, was probably clogging my pores. It's definitely worth trying these products by Neutrogena before dropping $$$ on the more expensive skin care lines.

So, theres alot of people saying this doesnt remove makeup. Now if you read the bottle, nowhere does it say that it does remove makeup. If you trying to clear your acne, why wouldnt you remove your makeup before using an acne treatment cleanser? I remove my makeup first, & then I use this product with my clarisonic mia. I have hormonal, cystic acne & my skin actually looks great since I started using this. I think its worth a try. It smells great, its soothing, & my skin feels so soft after using it. I did have a cluster of large pimples when I started & this did dry them out, but it dried them out to heal them. If your looking to clear your acne & you wear makeup, remove the makeup first & then use this. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.

I purchased this product after being once again very frustrated with even the new Proactiv system. It definitely works better than proactiv but I still have little bumps. Mind you, I don't have "acne" just occasionally some hormonal pimples. I think what bothered me the most about this is the feeling of washing my face with lotion, greasy. I much perfer the foaming wash of Stress Control, works better!

I love Neutrogena products, they're all I use on my skin. I have a problem with adult acne and combo skin. First, this will not wash makeup off the face. I have to use astringent afterwards to get my skin clean, which I find pointless since I expect a cleanser to clean the skin. Second, my acne got worse and took forever to go away when I used this cleanser. I have switched to the cleanser/mask from Neutrogena and I can see a HUGE improvement. I will not buy this again.

You need to understand that no one product can "cure" acne. You need to follow a simple regimen based on your skin type and the type of acne you have. I am a 27-year old man with oily skin and I endure some pretty nasty breakouts. Salicylic acid, the active ingredient, is an effective mild exfoliant. I have found that washing with this product first and finishing with a toner and benzoyl peroxide lotion beat back all my acne for several weeks.

A dime-sized amount of this product is all you need to cover your entire face and neck. It smells great and feels wonderful, leaving your face with a very fresh, clean feel afterward. Neutrognea's products all seem to be ultra-concentrated so you use very little over time. I've had my bottle for almost six months.

I prefer this product over other salicylic acid face washes because it isn't thin and runny. I can really feel it going to work and I think the color looks very cool. Salicylic acid is a must for anyone with oily skin and I highly recommend this product!
