I use this (nude shade) for light to medium coverage on light-medium-olive skin. It is applied best with a powder brush rather than the sponge it comes with, and over skin that is not heavily moisturized. I use a light non-oily moisturizer and a little L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base to make my pores look smaller. Too much moisture will make it look cakey, too little and it will look flaky in your dry areas. I have combination skin and sparingly use loose powder and cotton powder puff to touch up any shine later in the day. The coverage looks natural and evens skin tone. I get compliments on my skin and get asked what type of foundation I use. I have tried most all the other expensive brands and was not satisfied. This is great makeup at a great price - about half the cost of the department store brands. I've been a loyal customer since the product came out and recommend it highly.

i have tried everything, all the expensive brands and could never find a makeup that matches my complexion (yellow tone)and would not cause breakouts - this is perfect for my complexion - it gives me a smooth rosy healthy looking complexion - i get a lot of compliments - however i have to reapply quite a few times throughout the day so the makeup gets used up quickly and the sponge also disintegrates quickly. I love the coverage and would recommend as an everyday makeup.

I use this product for medium coverage. I had to buy it by looking at the color tabs on the web site (with fingers crossed) and the Nude color matched my fair-to-medium skin very well. Compared to Cover Girl, it is slightly yellow, so if you have pinkish skin, Neutrogena will make it look a little less blotchy. I like to apply it with a brush rather than a pad, but it works well either way. I didn't think I would like this brand but it exceeded expectations. It has a mirror and a pad applicator included in the package. Well priced on this site.

I break out from many things and have skin allergies and eczema. This product offers enough coverage to even my skin tone and causes NO irritation or breakouts. No other foundation at any price has been able to accomplish this. I highly recommend.

Great stuff! Better than bare minerals, and most others I've tried. And it's half the price of bare minerals. All that's needed is a good brush to apply. It comes with a sponge to apply, but it's not useful. You will get much much better results with a good brush. I like the compact. It's easy to carry along with you. My skin is warm/light olive tone, I chose "nude" shade, and I was thrilled with this and its performance.

Parabens are bad in any form of skin related products eg.
moisturizers,facial & eye creams &body washes etc.!

I have tried Bare Essentials, L'Oreal and Revlon mineral powders and so far, this one has been my favorite. I rarely stock up on products but once I saw how well this powder works, I had to get two more in order to ensure I will never run out of it. It looks very natural on your face, especially if you use a bronzer as well. I also got a lighter shade of it to cover up imperfections (I use the light shade just on those spots and then use the shade that has my skin tone all over). I highly recommend this powder!

This product did not offer enough coverage for me. I tried applying more layers but then it started to look cakey and yellow on my skin (I am naturally blonde with a pink tone to my complexion). I gave it to my Mom who is brunette and has a different tone to her skin and it looked fine on her. However she doesn't need much coverage, so she didn't have to layer it on.

I'm assuming if you just want a really light dusting of powder on your face this would work, but if you need more coverage and try to layer this on, it doesn't look natural. Try Physician's Formula powders/bronzers/etc. They work great for natural looking coverage that is good for your skin!

I love this stuff! It is way easier to apply than with the mineral sheers that have a brush. I find that it covers very nicely if you pat it on rather than rub.
