I LOVED the idea of this lotion - a body lotion with SPF, but it smelled like plastic....like the smell of a new shower curtain liner. I hated throwing it out (along with my money!) and I normally love other Eucerin products, but I couldn't stand the smell.

This gave me "back-ne" and was greasy and smelled overwhelmingly like sunscreen. I got product for the SPF, and it works well in that respect, but I have oilier skin, and it broke me out. Now I just use it on my legs to get rid of it. Still looking for the perfect body lotion with spf...

I'm a medium skinned black woman. Never really worried about sunscreen despite a couple of mild sunburns in the past. This past Memorial Day, though, I came back from the beach lobster-red and decided never to be out in the sun unprotected again. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that the oxybenzone in most sunscreens aggravates my eczema. I've spent the past month and a half trying to make the physical sunscreens work - the major problem is that they turn me an un-natural shade ranging from grey to lavender. I'm so happy I finally found this product that still has the physical sunscreen and some chemical sunscreen, but no oxybenzone. And I guess it's that mix that allows the sunscreen to virtually disappear into my skin. I would recommend this to any darker toned people who would like a little extra protection than what they already have naturallly. And while some have described this product as greasy, I must disagree. It's a really good moisturizer, but I don't find it greasy at all.

Leaves skin very silky. Applies easily and absorbs after a couple of minutes.

I wanted to like this lotion. It has everything I want in a daily body lotion: broad UV protection, good moisture, and antioxidants. I was even willing to look past the sunscreen odor. It is not unpleasant, but it is not pleasant, either. The smell lingered on me all day. But the lotion delivered great moisture. However, it made me break out. So, back to searching for a sunscreen that does not cause rashes!

Too many other brands out there that have SPF that aren't so slimy

I switched over to Eucerin after being warned against the oxybenzene in the Lubriderm SPF 15 lotion. I want to like the Eucerin lotion, but it's very greasy in comparison. My skin is relatively oily and it just doesn't need that much moisture. It just needs something light and protective. With Eucerin, I usually begin blotting my skin starting at midday because it feels so oily. (Even zinc-based sunscreens don't make my skin feel so oily!) I wish Lubriderm made an SPF lotion without oxybenze.

I shower at night and then moisturize. I find this lotion doesn't last through the next day. It has been a very cold, dry Winter and this lotion isn't strong enough for skin affected by indoor heat and outdoor wind. My legs especially always need more the next day. The light smell bothered me at first, but then I got used to it and barely noticed it. It would be a good lotion for warmer weather.

I love this lotion. I am looking for the body lotion that help my dry skin in winter but also protect my skin from the sun. This lotion is the one I'm looking for. It get rid of my dry skin problem. I will use it during winter but not for the summer. It will be too greasy for the summer.

This is an excellent product. I disagree with other reviewers who objected to the scent; I find it mild and not at all unpleasant. It also goes away quickly. The lotion is quick to absorb and seems to be a decent sunscreen as well as a pretty good moisturizer. It might be nice if it moisturized a bit more--that's my only complaint.
