Wow, I'm glad I didn't read all the negative reviews before giving this one a try, because I love it! It smells like play-doh, so if you object to that odor, you might want to avoid this. I like that this formula doesn't make me look greasy or bluish (unlike neutrogena's spf 30 sensitive skin formula) - since I'm fair, the light yellow cast (any titanium/zinc product is going to alter your skin tone somewhat, so just deal with it, people) works well for me. It rubs in way better than either dr. hauschka's similarly-tinted product or neutrogena's sensitive skin spf 60.

I love, love, love Burt's Bees. I was very excited to see that they were producing a sunscreen. I bought the sunscreen mainly to use on my 2 year old daughter on our trip to Florida. I put the suncreen all over her and she had white streaks everwhere that it didn't rub in, and then the white streaks turned to powdery stuff that didn't fly away (as powder would). She was in and out of the pool in off and on clouds/sun. While she didn't get super red sunburned, she did get pink and you could see the outline of her swim suit when we were changing her. It also seems as if the sunscreen comes off in the water. I used it on myself as well and noticed the water becoming very white and cloudy when we got in. And whie I didn't notice, every time I put the sunscreen on my daughter, my husband would notice an unpleasant odor.

Glad this was free,because I applied it to my DH and it looked like I had applied white paint to him. It smells gross and it doesn't absorb. I cannot say if it works or not because when my DH realized that he looked pasty white, and the sunscreen could not be rubbed off, he put on his shirt.

I admittedly did not burn wearing this product, but the trade off was that after applying this product, my family members walked past me asking, "what's that smell?" This product smells like public bathroom soap x 1000 and it lingers and lingers and lingers (not to mention how sticky it is). Do not buy this product -- you will be disappointed. It was a complete waste of money. Look for a different brand of mineral sunscreen.

I used this once and will never try it again. It is very sticky, does not absorb well, and leaves a filmly layer on top of your skin.

I will not buy this again, I will be throwing it away. It was a waste of money. In fact, even with re-application, I burned in certain areas. It feels sticky, pasty and sits on top of the skin as a yellow layer. It was also hard to remove with basic cleanser.

I normally like the Burt's Bee's line so I was willing to look past the fact that this product was so thick that it was a bit of a chore to rub in & that although the smell wasn't completly horrible it wasn't great either but didn't linger too long so I could deal with that. what I can't deal w/is that I came home completly sun burnt & I wasn't in the water, didn't do any sweat producing activity, but simply spent about 3 hours sitting by the water as my husband fished. I won't be useing this product again & I wouldn't feel right about passing it on to someone else either so its going in the trash.

My skin is very sensitive, and I've developed rashes to three other "sensitive" sunscreens so far this year, so I was looking forward to this one as perhaps "the one." I was willing to put up with the thick, sticky application if it worked. The smell, kind of like those banana candies, wasn't awful -- I could live with it. Then I noticed that it DOESN'T WASH OFF. At first I thought I was peeling, but then I realized that even after a vigorous shower with a loofa, it was this sunscreen pilling off my skin as I dried off and applied moisturizer. Finally, my white tee shirts and cotton bras were all stained yellow after hot sweaty days in the garden. That's it. Yet another sunscreen into the trash can and that I will never buy again.

this product is great in theory but has a HORRIBLE smell. it stays with you for hours. i don'tknow why brut's bees doesn't fix this. otherwise, it'd be a great product.

I bought this because it was all natural, organic, etc, but it is difficult to put on because it rolls up/rolls off in pieces. It's very heavy feeling also. Burt's needs to work on this product.
