I've used several Mrs Meyer's products and have loved them all. This was my first hand soap purchase and as expected, I was not disappointed. The Basil scent was new to me. I've used Lemon Verbena laundry products and stainless steel cleaner, as well as the Geranium and Rhubarb cleaning products. I've loved all the scents, but I imagine some folks who are more sensitive to scents might have issues with some of them. I have loved all of them. The only minor issue I have is that the bottle seems to create a vacuum, and every day I've had to unscrew the top to let more air into the pump bottle. Otherwise, I love it!

It does not smell Basil!
Mrs Meyers has unfortunate products with unsuccessful Basil fragrance. They need to recall them and reprint new labels as Apricot with flower blossom or actual Flower blossom.

I bought geranium and honeysuckle. Geranium smells amazing!!!! The honeysuckle just smells like light perfume, nothing like my honeysuckle candle from yankee candle. The soap is gentle on my hands and I like using natural products so this is a win win.

I'm always looking for a better hand soap for my very sensitive skin and based on the reviews I decided to try Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Hand Soaps (I also tried another scent). I was disappointed - it was not only drying, but also irritated my skin. I also found the basil scent rather unpleasant. SoftSoap's Kitchen Fresh Hands is a better value, more gentle and a very light citrus scent.

I love love love Mrs. Meyers liquid hand soap. I especially love the unusual fragrances offered, but very difficult to find. My favorite is Parsley. The ordinary fragrances such as lemon, honeysuckle, lavender can be found in many products, so the herb fragrances are even more special and fresh smelling. Oh, and this liquid soap cleans beautifully and is priced well.

I have this soap in my powder room, every woman who uses it raves about it, asks about the fragrance, and where to buy it! It smells so fresh as basil does but is not a stong herbal smell nor a manufactured smell.

In a nutshell, it cleans well, rinses cleanly, and smells wonderfully. Basil is an earthy, clean scent suitable for both men and women. You feel clean and not dried out.
If you already have a hand soap pump, just get the soft pack refills of this - less waste.

Moisten your hands, then add Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Liquid Hand Soap. The longer you rub your hands, the cleaner they become.
Household Hint: To make sure hands are clean and germ-free, wash them for at least 30 seconds in hot, soapy water. Be sure to suds up around the wrists and lower arms, too! If you have young children, have them sing Happy Birthday twice and their little hands will be clean as a whistle before they know it. So easy!
