I was looking for a shampoo that cleans well, low lather, gentle and has a mild scent and this is it!!!! The scent is so gentle it is hardly noticeable. lather is extremely low for a sulfate shampoo so I have to use an extra pump or two to be sure all my hair gets covered. I love the gentleness. i am extremely sensitive to shampoo scents and hate lingering smells and this is the perfect shampoo for sensitive people. No perfume hedaches

I used to only wash my hair once or twice a week, but now that I hike and work with animals in my field, I have had to wash my hair every night, if not more. This strips your hair of it's natural oils and made me loose my bouncy, shiny hair, as well as making it increasingly shapeless and flat. I alternate shampoos so my hair doesn't get used to any one brand, and this shampoo here is my absolutely favorite! I don't use much shampoo to feel fully clean ( aka, good value! ) and I follow up usually with PM conditioner. My hair is long enough to fall down to my butt and it's difficult to manage at times. This shampoo is perfect for it!! After washing, my hair gets a gorgeous glossiness- but not oiliness, that I normally have to wait days to see. My hair is lightweight but voluminous, and if I straighten or curl it, it stays all day ( normally never does that!! ) It has a very lightweight but yummy smell that I love! I'll definitely be buying again. :)

I have used this product for over a year now and it does seem to make my hair color last longer. I also like that you don't have to use very much to get a nice lather.

I have always loved Paul Mitchell hair products. This shampoo smells great and gently cleans my hair. Would recommend to anyone with color treated hair. Plus they do not test on animals which is a huge plus

I was surprised at how dry my hair felt after using this product. Dry hair is not an issue I have ever had. It took twice the amount that I usually use in order to lather at all. I was disappointed and will not purchase again.

I have fine hair that is slightly wavy. I color and highlight my hair every two months. I also have a slightly oily scalp so I need to wash my hair every day. For the past year I have been searching for a gentle shampoo that is formulated for color treated hair that won't weigh it down. I have tried everything from very expensive salon brands to inexpensive drug store shampoos. This Paul Mitchell shampoo is perfect. It is extremely gentle, but does NOT weigh your hair down. It has a light fresh fragrance and does not lather much at all. However, you don't want a gentle shampoo to have a lot of lather - if it does it contains a lot of detergent. In addition to this shampoo, I use a clarifying shampoo (necessary when you use hair products every day) and a deep conditioner on the ends once a week. I regularly get compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looks. I highly recommend this shampoo.

I like my routine to be easy. Since I color my hair on a regular basis, I like the color to last as long as possible between colorings. The Paul Mitchell Color Protect Shampoo is gentle enough to use everyday and not strip out the color.
