Comments about Redken For Men Polish Up Defining Pomade, 3.4 oz: I am an older person and have very fine hair which flys away easily. I need something that will keep it in place and this stuff works just fine. I use just a very small dab of it in fact so small that the container probably will last me 2 years and then I rub it on my palm with a little water (yes its water soluble) massage it into my hair and then comb or brush my hair into place. In 10 min when my hair is dry I quickly dry brush it again and it looks great. No one can tell that anything is even in my hair but it now stays in place much better. It has a very mild manly smell which I like as well. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Redken For Men Polish Up Defining Pomade, 3.4 oz: Been using polish up for years. It's hard to come by usually have to special order it. I have thick wavy hair and when it starts to grow out it curls. This is the only product that will allow me to style my stubborn hair into a faux hawk. Works best if you use a tiny bit, rinse out your hair, then apply again and style. Don't know why just makes it incredibly easy to maneuver. Dot use too much or it will get sticky.

Comments about Redken For Men Polish Up Defining Pomade, 3.4 oz: THis stuff doesn't smell bad, and it's actually my go to product these days (I also use American Crew Fiber and verious pomades depending on what style I'm going for). This stuff is low to no shine and good hold. Allows me a style my hair without looking greasy/shiney (I use Pomade for the shiney look). I think I like this better than Fiber because its easier to use (Fiber is thick and requires a bit more work to apply).

Cons
Best Uses Comments about Redken For Men Polish Up Defining Pomade, 3.4 oz: Bough this for my boyfriend to change up his normal routine and he hated it. The product is very thick and hard to spread. Most pomades are more oil based...this one is more like a thick gel. He will probably throw it away eventually...a waste of $.

Comments about Redken For Men Polish Up Defining Pomade, 3.4 oz: Bought this from a local Beauty Supply store since they didn't sell Sebastian clay which is the best for the sort of 'messy-hair' look. I have tried to use it on multiple occasions but certainly would not recommend for others to use. It smells really bad and it's noticeable to other people even if you use a small amount. One review described it as smelling like a "Dirty diaper." It doesn't hold hair in place and requires a lot of product which makes the hair more greasy than able to be styled, and it leaves hair flat and smelly. Seems like a real Redken fail. I'd be cautious of their other products for men.
