Tweezers are something I purchase only when the old tweezers break or become unusable. My previous tweezers (the Revlon Expert slant tips) served me well for several years, but broke. Having read so many glowing reviews for Tweezerman products, I decided to splurge and buy the Tweezermans instead, even though the price was more than double. (Tweezerman's free-sharpenings-for-life warranty was the deal maker -- that's something that Revlon used to offer, but doesn't anymore.) The Tweezerman product looks and performs the same as my old Revlon Expert tweezers. It's possible that the Tweezerman tweezers have greater durability than my old Revlon Expert tweezers -- perhaps that's the reason for the price difference. But of course that will take a purchaser years to find out.

Bottom line: I don't regret the Tweezerman purchase, but next time the need arises, I'll probably go with the Revlon Expert tweezers again, as long as the reviews for it are still good. (Revlon, like too many similar companies, has lowered their quality over time on some of their implements, so I use user reviews to judge if the quality of things like this changed since my last purchase.)

These tweezers worked just fine but didn't wow me. They are very sharp on the edges which I can see would work great to pull out a sliver but it was uncomfortable when working on my brow line. I think these are truly functional tweezers and should not be used for beauty purposes.

I am very attached to an old pair of Shiseido tweezers and have tried many, many others because I wanted to have a back-up pair if I ever lost my favorites. None of them ever grabbed hair really well, but these Tweezermans pleasantly suprised me. I am a chronic eyebrow plucker and these really get the job done.

I have a red pair that I got in high school (7 years ago), and they still work great! I just got a pair in navy because I wanted to switch up the color. Tweezerman also provides free sharpening - I've never taken advantage of this, but it's a nice perk for those who do.
