This is the only OTC nightguard I have tried that I can tolerate. It's reasonably comfortable, gives decent protection, and best of all, my boyfriend can't even tell when I have it in. I grind my teeth badly, so for the past year or more I've used this product nightly on the advice of my dentist. I can't shell out [$] for a real one right now. I have tried some other OTC types because this one isn't perfect, but it is hands down the best I can find because it doesn't get in the way of being able to close my mouth or breathe. That said, it does tend to wear out, really probably in 4 or 5 months. Once it starts to wear out, I find that it slips out of place to the sides much more easily, and the adjustable stops don't hold well anymore. Some parts of the front strap can get irritating on the gums, but I find that changing the adjustment temporarily can help, or using a different guard on the top teeth instead of the bottom for a few nights (or vice versa). I was very happy to find these here at such a great price, since my local drugstore was selling them for [$] each, and then they stopped carrying them at all.

Put this in the first night I got it and couldn't fall asleep. Tried again the next night (just last night) and finally got to sleep with it. However, when I woke up this morning and took it out, my bite has completely changed. My molars furthest back are now touching before any of my others. It's super annoying and painful on my jaw and I don't think it's going to go back to normal, so I'm really freaked out and worried. I would've liked the fact that it's much less bulky than the boil-and-fit ones, but now I'm never using this again! Guess I have to give up and face the consequences of grinding/clenching my teeth because no product has worked yet.
Comments about DenTek Comfort-Fit Nightguard, One Size, 1 ea:
I found this tooth guard a couple of years ago and it was so comfortable and easy to use and adjust that I recommended it to my dentist. He constantly tells me that he has lost so much money supplying it to patients instead of his custom made mouth guards. Unfortunately they have since made the plastic harder and thicker which I find much less comfortable. it tends to cause soreness after a couple of nights. I have since gone to another company's product because of this.
Comments about DenTek Comfort-Fit Nightguard, One Size, 1 ea:
Good product, does what it should, and without being a mouthful of plastic. Comfortable to use, it just has to be adjusted right. Amazing, though, that this little thing is so expensive. I know you get two in a package, which is relatively good compared to other products, but that these should cost over $30 is amazing. Not sure how long it will actually last. Likely that has much to do with how vigorous one's grinding is.

Be forewarned that they have changed this product. It is bigger and stiffer than the old version. It does not mold to your teeth as well as the old version. I personally don't find it as comfortable. Wish I could still get the old ones.

I have been using the Dentek night guard for years. It is totally worth the price. It works best for me using it on my bottom teeth. I have tried cheaper brands and just ended up wasting my money. If you are a first time user to night guards, it does take a few weeks to get used to it. I wore mine a few hours before bedtime for awhile to get used to it. Dentek is adjustable for any sized mouth. I have a very small mouth and put it on the smallest setting-perfect! I wish I would have found this product before my lower teeth were ground down.

I wrote a review almost a year ago and decided to write another just to state that I STILL LOVE this night guard! At the time of my purchase, I thought it was a bit pricey, but I have been using the same one for almost a year (the price includes TWO)! Cost wise, this is amazing since custom-from-the-dentist guards are hundreds (and that's with insurance.) I wore custom-made guards for years and find this little thing so much more comfortable. LOVE IT. Worth every penny and then some.

I wear one of these every night due to my bruxism. My last one made it almost an entire year before I needed a replacement. Comfortable, not bulky, very easy to fit - and NO BOILING. I like this WAY better than the other, bulkier types I've tried. Check with your dentist - but I'd say you could easily wear this during the day if grinding is a problem. It's not visible unless you open your mouth pretty widely, and it doesn't alter your speech.
Comments about DenTek Comfort-Fit Nightguard, One Size, 1 ea:
I've worn custom, from-the-dentist night guards for 30 years. These were comfy enough, but still found my teeth embedded in the night guard every morning. Last week I found I had two dead and abscessed front teeth and had to have root canals caused from trauma. Ha, the only trauma I've ever had to my teeth are grinding and the oral surgeon (who also grinds and had subsequent root canals)agreed that would do it.
Decided I needed to try something different. I've tried the over-the-counter, mold-with-hot-water kinds, but didn't find them comfortable. I decided to try this one because it looked different in that the teeth would be separated and my front teeth could NOT touch or embed into anything. I actually wore this 2 days after the root canal.
I liked it immediately! I decided to wait a week before doing a review and I'm still liking it. I think it allows my mouth to close more naturally and therefore my jaw isn't stressed.
I'm not really thrilled with the cost, but I was looking at $150 (with insurance) or $400 (without insurance) for a new dentist-made bite guard. If this lasts several months, I will be happy. So I give it 5 stars!

The design is simple and only covers the top and outside of a few back teeth. But, the part that covers the side of your teeth digs in to your gums. I had sore gums every morning I wore these.
Rinse the dental guard in warm water. Your dental guard is in the smallest position. Place on your lower teeth and bite down. The molar pads should cover at least half of your last molar but should not go beyond your molar. Use a mirror to determine if it reaches your last molar. Adjusting the dental guard: There are 5 positions of adjustment on each side of the dental guard. To adjust the dental guard, slide the molar pad back one notch. You will feel a positive "stop" when you have reached the first adjustment position. Repeat on the other molar pad so that both the right and left pads are aligned. Test fit the dental guard again to determine if half of your last molar is covered and that it does not extend past your last molar on each side. If the dental guard still does not cover half of your last molar, try the next notch back on both sides. There are 5 adjustment positions to achieve the perfect fit. Once you have found the perfect fit, wear it every night for protection against teeth grinding. Cleaning and care: After each use, brush your dental guard with toothpaste and / or mouthwash. Never rinse in hot water as it could alter the shape of your dental guard. Replacing your dental guard: All dental guards should be replaced over time. Please check your dental guard monthly for wear. If one wears out, please use the bonus dental guard included. The life of your DenTek Comfort-Fit Dental Guard depends on how often you grind and the force of your teeth grinding. On average, each dental guard should last approximately 6 months or longer.
