It takes twice as much product to get a hold, and then it weighs your hair down. It used to be lighter with better hold. I am removing it from auto delivery.

I have loved this hair spray for years. Only one I have found to help my fine, thin hair. I spray it on my wet hair, comb through, blow dry. It adds fullness. But the last can I ordered was different. It doesn't seem to hold as well and I experience a build-up. I shampoo my hair everyday. It seems they have added some sort of acrylic to the formula. I'll start looking for a new brand.

I have fine, straight hair that falls if there is any humidity at all. This hairspray is the best I have ever had to hold I style all day. It is good to use as a styler and after styling. I will not be without it!!!

This is the only hairspray that works for my thinning, soft hair. I blow dry my hair after shampooing (about every 3rd day.) My hair is very soft, and it droops quickly. Also it falls over my forehead where I don't want it.

After spraying with this product, it feels stiff, and won't move. The next morning it has dissipated so I spray it again. That is the beauty of this hairspray, it doesn't leave your hair sticky like the sprays of old, yet it really does the job. I have tried many different sprays, but this is the one I always go back to, even at the expense. It is worth it to me.

Hint: lift your hair and spray toward the root area for fullness. If you only spray the top and ends of your hair it will be heavier and droop quickly.

This spray holds well until it is brushed out, then it seems to disappear, so there doesn't appear to be any build-up in the hair. it also comes in a small travel size, available @drugstore.com.
The only "con" I know about is that the spray sometimes clogs and leaks, making the bottle and hands sticky.

There is no doubt that I cannot be without this hairspray. I have owned it since Sammy came out with it. When you have fine, thin hair and you do not want to wear it straight, you must invest in this spray. I style my hair with this spray and use it as a holding base underneath. I let it dry and then comb over the style and spray a lighter spray on top of the style. If the weather is muggy, I will finish with a light mist of this spray again. Therefore, I use this spray in conjuction with either one of Samy's lighter sprays or a cheaper drugstore hairspray. There is NO better hairspray than this one!!!!!

This spray is phenomenol and I am never without it. It lifts and holds my hair which has no body whatsoever. It allows me to actually put my hair in any style I want it. The downside is that it has to be used sparingly or I cannot move my hair. Therefore, I get my hair where I want it and how high I want it and then finish with a lighter spray to ensure I can comb it all out at the end of the day. I love this product!!!

I read the other reviews about not spraying too close and such, but it didn't matter. It goes on way too heavy and thick, giving that 'helmet head' feeling. Tresemme #4 goes on light but has great hold. Down side is that I use ALOT... but even with using a lot of it I don't get that 'helmet head' feel!
