I was a little weary about buying the product based on reviews, but I love it! Both my husband and I use it. The only weird thing, which my husband likes, is that it kind of smells like popcorn/Fritos. I'm guess it's because they do not use fragrance or masking fragrances in their products. I love that it has antibacterial agents in the formula because I think it helps with my husbands razor burn on his face/neck, and mine in sensitive areas such as bikini and underarms. This has been a lifesaver!

Bought this because it rated well on EWG and was fairly clean in terms of ingredients. I feel like I had to use a ton of product to get a smooth barrier between my skin and the razor. Even then, I still had a lot of nicks. It also dried out my skin. Not a fan at all.

I purchased this because it's on a list of "safe to use" products given to me by my dermatologist after having allergy testing done.
The coverage is so-so but thin compared to shave gels.
What I cannot get past is the way this product smells!! Yuck! This is only my first time trying it, so maybe I have a particularly strong smelling batch - but it's a combination of old sweaty athletic sox and corn chips. Totally gross.
I am on the search for something fragrance free that is less offensive to my senses.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this product, but was pleasantly surprised to find it had very little discernable smell, a light, creamy texture and provides a thin, smooth lubricating layer between skin and razor. I've used it for about three weeks and have had no itching, rash or red razor bumps at all, which is a minor miracle, as I am allergic to most products.. My legs are smooth and moisturized and the shave is closer than I get with regular foam. I like the fact that this is a creamy lotion and not a foam, which tend to clog razors. The shave lasts longer, since it is closer to start with. I highly recommend this for those with extremely sensitive skin like mine.

A doctor recommended this shave cream because my skin is so sensitive, breaks out and itches after shaving even with an electric razor. I love this shave cream!!!! My skin is so smooth and moist.

This is the first time a shaving cream has actually prevented my husbands face from major irritation! Yes, it may clog the razor, but that is what hot water was meant for. It is great for his skin

I have to use shave cream for ultra sensitive skin. I bought this when, for a few months, i could not find Aveeno shave gel anywhere. The consistency is like a thick lotion so i was pessimistic, but the Vanicream product lubricated my legs and protected against nicks & cuts better than Aveeno or any shave cream i have ever used. I agree with the other reviewer that noted that this product stays where you put it and doesn't run off your leg, which i like as well. Because it feels like a lotion, i was tempted to use a large amount, but since it's expensive, i used just enough to cover my legs with a thin film, and it protected my skin very well. I won't go back to Aveeno. This product doesn't smell pretty but that's a good thing for me, due to skin sensitivity. I use numerous Vanicream products and am very pleased with all of them.
