I had begun to question how I could stay on the program with her line of product so I started to investigate other options.For the better part of a month I went to [...] and a slew of other stores sampling their offerings for high protein bars. No joke, I have sampled over thirty different variety of bars.I was introduced to Zone Perfect Dark through their Chocolate Raspberry bar. The flavor was heavy but the consistency was some of the best I had ever sampled. After that bar, I moved on to try (seriously) every one of Zone Perfect's offerings. This Carmel Pecan bar, along with the Carmel Pecan, are the best bars I have ever eaten. I'd almost go as far to say that these two types of bars are better than most candy bars that I've tried (aside from Take 5...that bar is truly my kryptonite).After four months with these bars I am 40lbs lighter and still enjoying them. My recommendation could not come highly enough. Most are peanut flavored to overcome the vitamin taste. This does it without peanuts. It is a reasonable balance of macro nutrients (protein, carbs and fats). As with most MRP's the ingredients are not the highest quality. Also, because of the dark chocolate covering this bar is not useful as a summer supplement (hiking, etc.). For summer use I go to the Almond Brownie bar made by Balance. It will soften but not melt. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
