Some people complained this was too rough, but I found it just right. I have super sensitive, but itchy skin and this is like a nice all over scratch, but not too hard. I use it most days, dry, before I shower. I was motivated to buy this after a trip to Central America left me with a terrible heat rash. My skin is really smooth now.

Bought this for everyday dry brushing, but man was it scratchy! I couldn't even gently*GENTLY* dry brush my husband's back and he can definitely handle a harsher scrub than I can. Maybe if it's wet it would work ok, but I ended up with a different item for dry brushing.

This is the perfect brush to use for dry skin brushing. The vegetable fibers do not irritate the skin like synthetic fibers do. I use this brush every morning before I shower by brushing my skin with firm sweeps in the direction towards my heart (starting with my legs, then back, then front, then hands to shoulders). It exfoliates my skin, giving it a smooth feel and healthy glow after my shower. It's also very invigorating and wakes me up in the morning. After my shower I use Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil on my thighs. I have noticed a huge difference in the firmness and smoother appearance of my skin with the combination of dry skin brushing and the cellulite oil -- So glad I started this routine!!!

I bought this brush for dry skin brushing. It serves that purpose completely. It did have a slight odor when I first got it-- I believe it was due to what the bristles are made of. I soaked the head in water with a splash of apple cider vinegar and a drop of lavender essential oil and it was gone. I use it every day and wash it once a week. I bought it in the middle of February and it still is like new.

I use this for dry brushing 2 times a day before my shower in the morning and before I go to bed at night. I found this very affective in getting rid of dead skin cells. At first the bristles kind of hurt but over time I got used to it. I wouldn't pick anything softer because I don't think it would work as hard to scrub off dead skin. When I run through the bristles under a light, I can see skin particles flying off of the brush. This brush works very well as a back scratcher, too! My skin's now softer than before and I don't even use lotion. The only problem is this brush sheds a little.

I bought it after reading the reviews and because it was natural. My husband used it first and told me it was kinda rough. I tried it today, once it touches my back, it causes so much pain. I can't even move it on my back. But if you have good tolerance for pain, I can see it cleans well. I am going to buy a new brush in store so I can make sure it's soft enough for me.

This works just fine. It's a little scratchy at first, so be careful. But after several uses you will get used to it and it won't be so bad. I don't know if all dry brushes work this way, this is the first one I have used, so i don't know if this typical of all dry brushes or not. But I will continue to use it. It does work.
