The handle on my previous boar bristle brush snapped, and I needed a replacement brush. There were several long bristles sticking out of this one when it arrived in the mail. I tried using it a couple of times, and it would snag and pull my hair. I contacted drugstore to see about returning it, and they provided a full refund. Great service on their behalf, but this was a pretty awful product. I'm just using the broken top half of my old brush.

I use this brush at night -- old school gently brushing the hair to make it look good through distributing natural oils. However -- it's no good for morning use. . I used to have lots of hair; as a 40yr old I no longer do -- but this brush still doesn't "reach through" to my scalp.

This is a wonderful brush. I have very thick and long hair. My hair is past my bra strap and approx 3inches in diameter in a simple ponytail.

The bristles are nice and stiff and able to brush my hair to softness and to distribute natural oils. The bristles don't scrape my scalp if i simply run the brush over my hair, but reaches my scalp when I brush my hair in sections-- which is a necessity with such a large volume of hair.

The only reason why I didn't give it the extra star is it isn't as perfect. It would be perfect if it base of the brush was just a little bit broader.

I highly recommend this brush. I finally threw away my paddle brush of 5 years.

I have fine hair but a lot of it, and oily scalp with dry ends. I love using this brush before showering or going to bed to distribute the scalp oils throughout my hair. It is very effective, as the bristles are strong. This brush would be perfect if they would mix in some soft boar bristles, too. It requires frequent cleaning, as the bristles attract dust, along with the hairs that fall out during brushing.

This brush is apparently not for everyone, but I'm in love. I've been looking for a sturdy brush to recreate Bumble and Bumble's flat brush blow dries and this was it. I have fine hair with some curl which I always comb out. To straighten I then section off and use this brush to blow dry. It came out perfectly smooth, sleek, and soft. I've never made my own hair look so good! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that its slightly bulkier than I would like, but overall I'm thrilled.

The bristles are too short. I have fairly thick hair, the bristles don't reach my scalp. Pretty much worthless.

I have very fine, tightly curled, kinky hair. The brush's bristles were too hard, they felt more like plastic than natural boar bristle. I stopped using this brush after one time. It's not worth the potential damage.

I couldn't feel the bristles touch my scalp. It nearly felt like I was using the wrong side and just patting down my hair. Not functional at all.
