Waterproof? Oh yeah! Right before a dive vacation to the Caribbean I was out riding my horse in the woods and didn't watch where I was going (neither was my horse). I got jabbed in the thigh by a dead branch 1.5 inches in diameter. It went in 2.5 inches deep (ER visit – uh huh). I knew it wouldn't heel in time for my trip, and I was hoping these bandages would be waterproof enough to protect the wound on my vacation. Wow! These worked great. Every morning I cleaned the area to be bandaged and applied the bandage per the instructions (I also shaved the area to make sure nothing interfered with the bandage). Each day for 7 days I did 2 one-hour dives to depths of up to 90 feet, spend the afternoon in the pool enjoying mojitos, then danced the night away. Not one time did the bandage fail. It stayed on 100%, and kept the wound clean and dry. Impressive!

I have cracked finger tips in the winter. I cut peices of the clear adhesive from these bangages and use them on the cracked fingers. It gives immediate relief and protection and it lasts a day or too without being particularly visible. The large bandages give me a lot of finger patches with each one. I've not found any better treatment for this condition.

Use to cover my dialysis site before a shower. Apply it vertically with the top part covering my site. It is virtually waterproof. Finally can get a good shower without worry.

These are the only bandages I can use. I have adhesive allergies and am no able to use standard and fabric style bandages as I quickly developed an itchy red rash. The adhesive used for Nexcare bandages does not cause this type of skin reaction. I recently had a badly skinned knee and needed to keep the wound covered for about a week. No rash developed from the bandage. I will also use just the clear plastic part of the bandage to keep those small cuts finger cuts, which tend to pop-open, closed. For me, I find, this speeds up the healing process.

As a person with diabetes I am prone to recurring ulcers on my legs that are difficult to heal. Nexcares large bandages keep the wounds clean, dry & sanitary. They can be counted on to stick and stay stuck unlike MANY of the other larger bandages out there. PLUS they keep my clothes clean and protected from any drainage or oozing. These are the only bandages I can rely on, if the store I'm in doesnt have them...I go somewhere else.
