Great to look at, not so great to use. In terms of utility, it simply doesn't measure up to a regualr sponge-thing. Overall, I found I needed to use twice the soap to achieve the same bubble production of a normal sponge-thing. And, even after a month of use, it's still awkward to hold or use in certain areas of the body.

As a regular user of AXE brand body gels, the AXE Detailer Shower Tool is a really good addition to my daily routine. I find that the application of the body gel directly onto the Detailer gives best results (squeeze on, rub all over your body). With the Detailer you generate better lather and can grind those tougher parts of your body. The Tool has two sides, the softer bushy mesh side and the harder brush-like side. For my needs, I find the mesh side to get the whole job done. The mesh is just tough enough to feel good when rubbed on your skin without being too aggressive. I do recommend the AXE Detailer Shower Tool as a great addition to your routine.

I actually read the reviews here before buying this. I bought this for my fiance since he is pretty "manly" and needs a good scrub beyond what a frilly loofah can do. As a woman, I would never want to bathe with something black, but he loves the intensity of the loofah part, and then the scrubber thing on the back. He's had it for about a month, and it's still in perfect shape, so I'd say it's pretty durable.

My boyfriend uses the detailer multiple times a day. He has been using the same one for way to long. I went to Wal-mart to get another one but they didn't have any. This was the best deal that I could find. [...] Now we change them out monthly and I know where I can get more when the time comes.

Well when you see this item, it looks to be a very masculine piece of work. When i received this in the mail i was disappointed to see that it wasn't made very well, and rather flimsy. The Lather part of the tool was ok , but the scrub part i think is a joke, doesn't really scrub as much as it does to irritate your body. Also i do not think this tool will last me very long..

I just bought this product, I've been looking everywhere. Until one day I found it. The first time I used it, I loved it. It made me feel cleaner than I ever have been. The soft mesh side does a fantastic job of lathering. While the scrubbing side also does a great job of remmoving old, dead crusty skin from places like your elbows, knees, heels, shoulders, and hands. Great product, I definitely recommend it.

This product was disappointing. It does not lather your body wash at all leaving a very rough, uncomfortable feeling as you clean. My chest and torso actually got big red spots from the tool. I guess this is good if your skin needs major exfoliation. I agree with the poster that stated the rubber piece gets in the way as well... I used it 3 days and went back to the old trusty wash cloth.

Lather up with black mesh and dig in with red scrub.
When done, rinse the tool thoroughly, squeeze out excess water and hang up to dry.

For easy rinsing, hold tool (mesh side up) directly under shower head for 5 seconds. Let water run through and give it a good squeeze. Repeat until all excess soap is removed. For best results, replace Detailer every 4-6 weeks.
