I was really excited when I received the Cat Fisher - my cat LOVED it - but after a week of play, the nylon wire got tangled in the reel and cannot be fixed due to it being in one piece that can't be taken apart.

This is a great toy for cats & their humans! I had to send one back due to a defect, but have had no trouble with the new one. I have not been using it long-term so I cannot say much about it's durability, etc. except that so far it is a good product. Once I learned how to keep the rod locked in place I got better at casting & my more playful cat loves it! He gets so excited that he barges in when I try to use it with my female & just takes over.[...] I ordered one for my sis-in-law in NZ for Xmas. She called to say that her 4 kitties absolutely love it! My brother, who is a dog person liked it too. I have one to give to a niece for her kitties. It helps keep the line smooth if you "monitor" it with your fingers when you reel it in.

The Fat Cat Catfisher Rod & Reel is a great toy for any cat. My cat loves this toy. It's good for providing exercise for indoor cats. I don't know how durable this toy is because I've only had it for a short time, however it appears to be fairly well made.
