The so-called "perfect point" has no point -- the tip is square, not pointed. So, of course, it makes a thick smudgy line. I tried to make a point on the tip with a tissue but the tip just broke off. I never would have bought this if I had seen the product and I feel ripped off by Cover Girl and drugstore.com. The product is misrepresented and the photos do not show what the product actually looks like.

after about a week the self-sharpener mechanism broke and the tip would not advance and would retract into the pencil so i couldn't apply the eyeliner

I use this liner for everything from a day lash line to a heavy lid line for a more dramatic look. It's amazing, smooth as silk to apply, never needs to be sharpened and even has a built in smudger.

This eye pencil goes on smoothly, has a great smudge tip on the opposite end to make it look natural, and lasts all day. I keep one in my purse in addition to one at home, in case I need a quick touch up from the day's activities. I love this eye pensil.

It's pretty easy to use and the tip is rounded so you won't poke your eye out like you would with a pencil. The color goes on great whether I want heavy or light. Have to use eyeshadow or the lines smear. Product runs after a few hours would be the only drawback.

My go-to everyday brown (non-waterproof or liquid) eyeliner. Goes on very easily, and I love that I don't have to sharpen it ever. It smudges well which is good if you want to use it for that. I often supplement it with eyeshadow, but it does have the tendency to fade. I wouldn't really use it for a night look.

Glides on easily, smudges well, nice color, but only stays on for a couple of hours, so what's the point? If it disappears before the day is over, it only gets 1 star.

Stays put. nice color. When I line around them, it makes my eyes slightly doe-y, think Julia Roberts. The only bad thing is the fact it won't "draw back" into the tube.
