Pro: cleanse the skin really well, maybe too well

Cons:
1. Leaves my skin very dry afterwards.

2. The beads in the wash irritate my skin. I can feel the burn.

3. Bad at oil control. Stop using for one day, then I got acne outburst.

In an attempt to help my husband with the problem of his face being really oily on a daily basis, I purchased this product because his previous Neutrogena cleanser, which worked GREAT, was discontinued years ago.

While using the first time, his immediate comment was how he could feel a coolness on his face, as if it contained menthol. He said he really liked the fact that his face actually FELT clean. However, the thing he loved most about it was that his face remained oil free the entire day.

As his wife, I would have to say that him having an oil free face was something really nice for me as well. In addition to that, having that manly scent didn't hurt either.

In the end, after trying a numerous amount of different products for oily skin, at last Neutrogena came up with another product that works just as well as the one they discontinued.

This stuff stings the skin around your eyes, etc. Perhaps a little too invigorating. Stings like an aftershave. Have to be extremely careful not to get in your eyes. I would not recommend this product.

Be careful not to get this facial wash close to the eyes. It irritates the eyes and sensitive skin near the eyes if it gets close. In my opinion, this is unacceptable in a facial wash.

I put a dab on my fingers and rub it all over my face during my daily shower. It leaves it feeling clean and refreshingly cool as though there was menthol in the cleanser.
